If You Boosted A N/A Protege, READ THIS

You can buy check valves at Autozone, as well. The intake manifold for the MSP also has barbs on it to retain the hoses properly, as well as the clips. That made taking off Bill's IM a real b****. =)

i gathered that sorry i wasnt clear - i should have said, if you dont have evap
CEL how does this help you

it does exactly what linux described, i dont see why you think its supposed to "help"

DTC P0455 [FS WITH TC]

<table border="2"> <tbody><tr> <td rowspan="1"> DTC P0455 </td> <td rowspan="1"> Evaporative emission control system leak detected (blockage or large leak) </td> </tr> <tr> <td rowspan="1"> DETECTION CONDITION </td> <td rowspan="1">
  • PCM measures the fuel tank pressure (ftp1), which is the vacuum when a specified period has passed after the tank pressure has reached the preprogrammed target pressure and purge control valve has been closed when monitoring conditions are met. If fuel tank pressure is above threshold, PCM determines that the EVAP system is blocked or has a large leak.
    • THRESHOLD VALUE
    • Fuel tank pressure (ftp1): -1.31.95 kPa {-9.7614.65 mmHg, -0.380.58 inHg}
      • Threshold valve varies depends on ECT at engine start BARO.
    • MONITORING CONDITIONS
    • Fuel tank pressure (ftp 1): above -3.92 kPa {-29.42 mmHg, -1.16 inHg}
    • PCM monitors EVAP system when driving under following conditions:
      • Remaining fuel: 3585%
      • ECT at engine start: -1035 C {14.095.0 F}
      • Atmospheric pressure: above 69.7 kPa {523 mmHg, 20.5 inHg}
      • Vehicle speed: 39.5120.3 km/h {24.574.7 mph}
      • Engine speed: 1,0004,000 rpm
      • Calculated load: 965%
      • Throttle opening angle: 3.110.2% (Maximum throttle valve opening angle varies depends on atmospheric pressure.)
      • IAT during monitor: -1060 C {14140 F}
  • Diagnostic support note
  • This is an intermittent monitor (Evaporative leak monitor).
  • MIL illuminates if PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles.
  • DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING TEST RESULTS and PENDING CODE are available if PCM detects the above malfunction condition during first drive cycle.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
  • DTC is stored in PCM memory.

well since i didnt udnerstand a lot of that s*** and ive been getting bad gas milage i thought there might be a connection

i'll have to make sure this is taken care of when I install my MAM kit (unless Beau already thought of it, still waiting on the rest of the parts)

good, info i'll try and pick one up, or order it tomorrow.

Any online dealers that might have it. Not sure if i have a local mazda dealership here?

I am going to order mine through Mazdaformance.com. The replacement valve cover hardware from my stealership just cost $130. Bolts and the sleeves. ouch.

just counted (8) 99283-0800 clamps, (1) 99283-0900 clamp, and are we supposed to order the two clamps highlighted in red? 0000-88-C68,69
