idle ?

Hi Guys & Gals,
I was just wondering what your normal idle is when you first turn on your car for the day. Idling is pretty high about 1,500 until i start driving. Well its high considering my last car was just below the 1 grand.
I have a very very annoying rattle in the dash. I really dont want to take it back to the dealer just for that but if it gets worse I guess i'm going to have too.
Other then that everything is just peachy. Ne 1 know of a good tinting place here in the bay?

first of all, welcome to the board!

when the car starts it does idle high - that's to get the engine up to operating temp quickly. mine is usually 1400-1600rpm

then it should drop back to 700-800rpm at operating temps
