Got a problem my MSP has a idle problem it drops to like 300rpm rises to 1100 and also drops to 0 (engine dies ) also this is after warm up when i cold start it it goes to like 3000 and slowly drops. Now I know my stock BOV is leaking awaiting forge unit from protege garage. Can anyone give me clues or think because I have that leak in the BOV could be causing it ???? Thanks

The Forge BOV is a huge P.O.S! clean the EGR and put your BPV back on. Your problems should go away.

Its quite easy to take off your EGR valve and clean it, I only done it once. Make sure u have some parts cleaner, or carb cleaner on hand to clean the EGR out.

I found it to be a pain in the a$$ to get to. I've had to clean mine twice. It is easy to clean though.

Can anyone say anything constructive other than that the forged BOV is a piece of "crap"? Like maybe why it is no good?

IMHO, cleaning the EGR valve is easy if you've got small fingers to get at the bolts with. But it can definitely make a difference if you are having idle issues.

this is what i'm wondering. for what you pay, its a worthwhile stock replacement upgrade... sure, its no $200 bov, but what do you expect? I agree in that its not great I'm putting an SSQV on my car... but... I would like to hear what is so terrible about it also.

you guys who don't mind taking your car to pieces all the time and wasting time, go ahead and clean it.... but the problem will only come back

I rather just replace the valve outright (with the redesigned canadian one) so I don't have to deal with it again... there's not a lot of space to get to the EGR valve when you got stock motor mounts
