Idle Stumble

I have a strange problem I can't figure out. As i gradually accelerate I get an odd stumble at 2500 rpm. It happens even in park if I gradually accelerate the throttle. Thinking I had a bad TPS, I spent the 90 bucks to replace it and still have the problem. Anyone ever experienced this? The timing appears OK and I donlt have a check engine light. It has to be a sensor...

Do you have any mods done?

Did it just start all of the sudden or did it come on gradually?

Really just all of a sudden. I've had the battery disconnected for a while as I have been repainting the car, so it may just be the ECU need to reset. Does not do it at startup when cold. Only after it reaches normal operating temp. I may need to pay a dealer to hook it to a computer. Just feels like a timing issue being fooled by a bad sensor.

I think the first things that I would try would be
As you said, reboot the ECU. Ive never heard of an ECU malfunctioning in this way but, that doesnt count for much.
Give it a little more time and see if it doesnt correct itself. Cursing at it during this process helps as well.
I would think that if it were a sensor, you would get a check engine light. What is your gas mileage like anyway?

Start with the cheapest components and begin a tune up. Clean the injectors, filters, plugs, rotor, wires, ect.

Its possible that you got a bad tank of gas too, maybe. Im just guessing at this point.
Good luck.

i have that issue

I did a tune up 500 miles ago, but the gas may be pretty old. I'll keep you posted.
i have that same prob. as well i took it to the dealer and they did'nt find anything worng just cuz i was not getting a cel.

the only thing they could think of was the iac motor. might be receiving a faulty signal. but they also said that that would pop ut a cell.

i being having this aswell for a while now and my car is turbo so that also was not the prob. accoring to the dealer.

if u find the prob plz let me no thx.

i also replaced the coil pack's and that help for a lil bit put it came back.
