hi, I am looking to upgrade some performance without actually making my car look as noticeble. Just some minor stuff though.

I went to the tracks for the first time on wednesday night and came to realize that with the stock springs/suspension, the car rises to much at launch and loses a lot of grip on the front wheels...plus that ugly-ass gap it has is just annoying.

I am also annoyed with that fake exhaust mazda gave the speed6 (WTF over?), that s*** is embarrassing when people go "oh damn, thats some nice...wait a minute.." LOL.

so heres what im looking for:

Two ways Im looking to fix my launch prob.:

Im looking to have a good suspension that lowers my ride about an inch or so OR just change my tyres to some 19s. Do 19s decrease your performance? I know they are heavier, but i heard that sometimes a bigger wheel can help retain and use the whps/tq to its best instead of going to waste as the car peels at launch. Somebody school me on that.

As for the pea-pipes, I would like to get some good exhaust system or a cat back that sounds as low as possible (if it sounds stock even better), I dont want my car to sound much at all.

Sorry for the essay hehe,

Karma.

im not sure if it is an issue with the ms6 or even awd cars for that matter....but getting better motor mounts does help the mazdaspeed protege a ton!

when was I a douchebag? When I finally got tired of waiting for an answer and wrote that last post?

Funny how it goes, I post a thread and it goes unanswered, but when i submitted that last post 2 minutes ago (literally), I got a response just as fast. Guess you gotta be a jerk to get some attention huh?

No, you just need to act like a human being. Try being a decent sort of person and your help will come.

You will find more answers come with Wine rather than Vinegar.

Thanks.:)

Nice methapor...but I guess you mean because wine....the LONGER it sits (for an answer), the better it gets?

First just get a set of springs for the Mazda 6 wagon and that will work on the speed 6 plus you will need to replace the shocks with some shorter ones or the stockers will go out (not good).

Second 19s my not be the best choice for performance. Too much rolling, unsprung weight. Here are some good articles for you.

As for exhaust just take off the stock rings and have a shop weld on some tips for you and then youre using the stock exhaust. But with no bumper ring.

19's? Get some dubs brah! :D

Wow, I am not drag racing guru, but I do know 19's would be the absolute worst chioce ever.

Think of all that rotating mass not to mention all the extra weight of larger wheel and more rubber.

Your best bet would be some wide 17's or 16's if they fit.
