thats the kind of a car where u watch the rpms and speed gauges go up and the gas meter go down at the same time...

My first vehicle was a 1975 Dodge Sportsman conversion van with two 30 gallon gas tanks (one main & one reserve ). The fuel gauge would literally move downwards as i accellerated.......15 miles later i would have to flick the switch to the reserve gas tank.

it's bad on gas,but not any worse then most of the modern V8's out now.

Making 1000hp...in todays world not really THAT impressive. Making 1000hp reliable and have all emissions passing things, impressive.

but it doesn't do that either.

so far the only thing able to do that is the cadi 16 cly,but it was detuned to 700 HP to pass emissions, then tuned even farther down to 500 so it could be sold in europe do totax laws for certain HP vehichles.

You have to read the article-- the most impressive thing is the aerodynamics and how the suspension lowers in top speed mode and the various wings angle precisely to create vacuums and downforce to make it relatively safe. Of course you have to put it in 'top speed mode' from a start to do this... and if you even tap the brake it goes out of top speed mode. I'd say most of engineering went into making a car your average random rich guy could drive at 250 on an oval without killing himself. I've been on an a super speedway at near 175 with a professional race car driver in an IROC and I was about to piss myself. I can't imagine 250.

huh? The modern caddy V16 has never been sold. It was just a concept engine and survived in a few test mules. It's two LS series V8's mated together.

The Bugatti engine is two VW W-8's mated together so it should be reliable and pass emissions. This car's been in development for 9 years. I think they have the bugs worked out.

I would take the Z-Tune Skyline over that any day of the week. Maybe even the Norris EVO.

true, then it was introduced in a truck engine at the 500HP state.(never released, maybe someday)

That car is a piece of work. If you've read the C&D article, its got a lot of nifty little gadgets, and its just a beautiful machine. This would be one car if money wasn't an option that would be in my garage right now. As for gas milage, I believe it still gets 16 mpg in city driving. I remember that it only gets 3mg when travelling at 253 mph though...

it wasn't 500HP. The mule they tested the V16 in was a stretched Yukon because the show car wasn't ready in time. It still had 1000HP.

waste.

I can't belive it took 16 cly,and quad turbos to make 1000 hp.

thats just weak.Bugatti has past thier prime.

get your head out of your ass, it's not all about "omgz 1000hp"

It's the fact that it makes freakish power for the entire rpm range and can come out of top gear and still be immensely powerful.

It's the same concept as the koneisegg. Lots of power, yes, but appropriately geared. It was the concept jaguar attempted with the XJ220, but they forgot to put decent brakes on the car. One of the many pitfalls of the jag. The veyron has been out for a long ass time, this is just the new adaptation of it. Also keeping in mind this is the same concept as the EB110-SS. V12 and quad turbo. Welcome to the early ninety's. This platform is what bugatti excels at in the modern supercar era. Not only is the car ridiculous fast, it's based off F1 technology making it an absolute track slut. Anything else you'd like to add now that you are done comparing supercar brilliance to a piece of s*** FS-DE?

Bugatti EB-110

The SS was a 28 model run of the 110 with a few "tweaks" so to speak.
