I wanna buy an MS3 GT

His name was Dave Nelson, IIRC...

Hmm, I'm not sure if he even works there anymore. I pretty much met every sales guy there when I bought my car, since we didn't come to agreeable terms until almost closing time. He may have had the day off though.

You call that a GOOD experience?

Yes, well, to explain. I was there for a good couple of hours trying to come to terms, came to something, but walked out on it, because it didn't sit right in my budget. So, I found my own financing the next day, I got there late the night I was picking it up, and still had to finish up quite a bit of paper work, even though I wasn't financing with them. So, I didn't drive away with it until later in the evening, probably around 8:30-9:00.

I consider this a good experience because through the whole process the whole staff treated me very well, and I was not pressured, at all. I felt like they were trying their best to help me drive away in the car. They just didn't have the means to get me where I wanted to be, or figured I would settle. I ended up providing my own means to be where I needed to be. I was happy, they were happy, it was a good experience.

Figured no one really wanted to hear the whole story, so I just summed it up earlier. Sorry for any confusion.

I would recommend Russ Darrow, even though it seems that they have some shortcomings, they seem to be better than most around here.

The explanation helped... I was about to say...ha

I don't know what I'm going to do.

Ideally, I want my car now... a MS3 GT... to fix the R6 and buy myself another bike.

Someone figure out how I can do this. haha

Find someone who can help you with financing. Do you know anybody who is a business manager at any sort of car dealership? They could finance you on anything. You could have the bike and the car rolled into one payment if you know someone that will swing it for you, plus they can give you the lowest rate possible.

Otherwise, I'm sure a bank would do the same, except you wouldn't get the low rate, because the bank would want to make some money.

I thought about that.. but, I work 11-8 everyday except Tuesday.. soooo... unless I wanted to work around the clock 7 days a week... that wouldnt work.

I think our neighbors hate us

UKBen,

If you are talking about Russ Darrow in Hwy 100? They are decent, but they tried to get me for sticker for my Speed 3...which I didn't pay...they eventually moved. But they tried getting me at 10.99% intrest...which they get points on the back end.

They are a decent dealership...I like their service department. Other than that everyone was really nice. I don't remember my salesmans name, but I know he is the leader in sales there. He had like 28 cars sold for the month on the 29th of May.

Yep, I'm talking about Russ Darrow on HWY 100. It seems as though they try to be pretty firm with prices and percentage rates on their deals, which is fine, as long as they don't mind when I walk out. But, like I said, they really didn't pressure me, they were just firm.

I have yet to talk to their service department, although, I've heard good things. How are they on warranty work with mods?

You probably talked to Al, he had the most cars out when I picked up my MS6. I talked to Josh Hogan. He was great, he also drives an '06 Black Mica MS6, so he had some first hand experience with the car. It was a nice touch, but I was pretty sold on the car before I even drove it. :D

It took me 3 days to get them to move to just under a thousand over invoice for my Speed3. My only complaint about their service dept is that they have stuck me in pieces of absolute crap for rental cars. That irks me when I spend that kind of money on something that shouldn't need any work and then get stuck in a rental that is falling apart. I complained to Mazda about it. We'll see what happens.

That's probably because the MS3 is a hot seller right now (correct me if I'm wrong), they think/know that they will get someone else to pay more.

Sucks to hear about the junker rentals, but I honestly wasn't expecting much. Most dealerships do that, unless they are luxury car dealerships.

I don't know how they are with mods. My Speed3 is still stock. I have other stuff I want to spend my money on. There are plenty of cars that get smoked by me...stock!

They are really firm on their prices. But that is okay because once I told them I used to sell cars...they gave just enough to get me to buy the car. Instead of lowering the price...they raised the value of my trade-in. I told them either way...it is just what I want to pay per month.

Like I said they gave me a high intrest rate so I refinanced.

Yep, I smoke most as well, in fact, I haven't been beaten yet. But, I also don't race all that often.

They couldn't get me where I wanted to be either, so I walked out. The next day I talked to a friend of mine and he was able to finance me through his employer. I called Josh at Russ Darrow and told him to come up $1000 on my trade and I would walk in with a check that evening. He and his manager agreed, and I picked up the car.

Nice man...I think I am going to have to make an appointment to get my mount replaced now that they have a "recall" thingy. You should talk to Shelly in service....she is really nice.

Do you go for your free car wash on Saturday?

Definitely see about that mount. You don't want that to go when you need to be somewhere.

Thanks for the pointer, I'll try to make sure I talk to her when I go in. Did they send you the little coupons for oil changes?

I haven't been there for the car wash yet. To be honest, I'm a little weary because it's not touchless, is that being too paranoid? I'm thinking that with a black car, a "touch" car wash could put some noticable scratches in the paint.

It's not paranoid. They ran my car though last time. It had some nice swirl marks. I will make it point to request no car wash next time. Time to get out the Zaino!

That's what I was thinking, and although they can be buffed out, I'd like to avoid swirl marks.
