I think we should....

This thread cracks me up.

Most people I see driving the 2 are older (28+). However my best friend and I both have a 2. We are 20 so you plug that into the equation. (Age) + 5 < OLD.

I vote for the honk and flip off combo, would be a lot more fun considering no one waves back anyway that way you at least get a couple weird looks.

Hate to admit it, but I'm 60......

And, I'm the one with Corksport SRI, Bilsteins, Kosei's, RB sway bars, and sticky Dunlops.........

You are only as old as you feel. Right?
And the equation applies to you as well. Age is perspective. To you I'm stupid (jealousy of youth) and young, and anyone over 65 is old haha.

Nope. Never thought anyone younger was stupid. I've just had longer to learn from my screw-ups....... God knows there have been enough of those.... LOL

As to older (+5 yrs), I just get perturbed by those who "self-age".

its getting colder out pretty quick....probably keep my tatas nice and put away till next summer now...then again...itll probably be that long till I see another 2.

On a side note a local auto parts store has a white sport as one of their delivery vehicles...(along with a few other white economy cars) and they are always driving the 2 over the others.

I've seen two or three 2s locally. When I caught one, I made eye contact with the driver and gave a nod of approval. There was no response. I don't think he even realized what I was referring to. The Mazda2 seems to have a mixed audience- both young and old. Driver enthusiast and the average city driver. This may be what Mazda intended in the first place. It definitely seems to be bringing some people in, One of the consequences of that is that there isn't that sense of connectivity or community within that diverse group though, in spite of there being relatively few owners right now.

saw a green one at the mall friday...was parked in handicap....had non-matching hubcap on rear wheel.....eyeyaiyai.

i saw a brand new white touring in the back of my apt complex the other day with temp tags on it. and i park back there alot cuz my best friend lives back there. so i like to think i am the reason they bought that car :) its a chick too.

I like to think that 2. :) When I first purchased my car one of the ladies at my bank ask me what I was driving and called it cute. My bank now has a red and blue one parked out front and they belong to the two women tellers employed there. I should have got a commission. :p

Haha, nice. The cute girl next door to me wants one now. Maybe I should give her a ride in it. :)

.....eyeyaiyai.

That word looks awful funny spelled out, I don't think I've seen it before. Would be good to have in that big televised spelling bee they have every year. "Could you use that word in a sentence?" "Stop asking questions!! Eyeyaiyai."

funny thing...i like to wave or give thumbs up to other mazda5 owners... but most of them around here are middle age asian women or old people. they look at me funny. although every now and then i get a wave. i also like to park next to other 5's if i can.

Sunday is family day so we pile up in the 5 and ironically most looks and stares come from other 5's. What you lookin at wanna race? My family against yours 3...2...1...go! :p
