I just bought a 3 on Sunday (my first car). I was about to buy a new 3i, manual, with AC as the only option for ~13500. The night before I went to the dealership, I found a used 2004 3 for a steal at a different Mazda dealership. 3s 5dr, strato blue, manual, moonroof/6 disc CD package, cargo mat, and the rear bumber step plates with only 10000 miles on it. For only $14998! I splurged a bit I guess and got it the next day. Drives beautifully (haven't broken 75 on it yet though), clutch and stick feel brand new (I test drove several other new 3's), and no rattling/defects/scratches/stains/problems at all. Way better than any of the other cars I was looking at (Cobalt coupe, ZX3, Elantra). My friends are blown away when I tell them it was used and only 15k. Best purchase I've ever made (and will be making for years to come).
I've been hovering around these boards for awhile now, found it while car shopping. First thing I'm going to get is tint, then install a comp and touch screen LCD, then some possible performance mods. I really like the clean stock look, so I'm going to try to keep it with any modification I make (except new springs, but thats not a big difference).
