I think i got bad motor mount inserts

well im not going to shave down a brand new part, they should fit right from the factory. I just wanted to see if i was doing something wrong or if they were just not made to correct spec.

and it seems to me like they were made up too big, especially when i compare how they look to the CS ones

But you're just trimming off the end of the interior part - it's not like you're compromising the structural integrity of the insert.

I agree tho, they do look too big.

Have had RR inserts up front for years. IIRC, they weren't the same length. Looks like they sent 2 long pieces instead of one long and one short. Either way, just shaving 1/4 inch off each one would be easier than sending them back and it will not hurt anything. Wait and see what they say about it then bust out the razor blade and trim them.

Here's what mine look like (sorry for the crappy cell pic)...I think the consensus is probably right that you got two long ones instead of a short and a long. My vague memory seems to tell me that there are two different sides, but that might be wrong. As you can see from my picture, the mounts are crammed in there. I would just shave the one and be done with it if I were you. Hope this helps.

so i just got another reply from RR racing. they sent me the wrong mounts and are sending out the correct ones today.

i ordered the combo set, so im not sure at the moment if i even go the correct rears since i havnt tried installing those yet
