I think I found a way to get rid of the clunk permanently...

i'll be playing with my bushings today, although they are new and get no clunk as off now, i have a rear squeek now so im gonna grease em up. ill throw a small piece of rubber in there while im at it.

i am in the middle of doing this right now, although i have new bushings with tape. I currently have no clunk but u have a creaking sound. So i was gonna grease em up a lil and try this idea. But....... When i was unscrewing my driver side bushing bracket it was on there real snug(last tightened by the dealer) i cracked the weld on the nut that sits inside the frame. I managed to get a 17mm open end wrench up there and got it out. Now im off to the hardware store to get a whole new bolt and nut and im just gonna have to tighnen from the top and bottom. Im soo pissed these damn things have been torqued to many times!!

The bushings were changed for the first time at 6000 km (at my first oil change). The noise came back at around 10 or 11 000 kms. I did not have the time to stop at the dealer so I endured the noise until the car hit 30 000 kms. That's when I decided to take a look at the problem myself. I put in the spacer and I'm now at 45 000 km and still no clunk. Although I do hear the squeek when it's below zero, it only lasts about 5 to 10 min until the suspension warms up.
:D

I had THE CLUNK also. I took the bushing off and cut up a bike tube to wrap around sway bar then put bushing over it with some lube. worked great for about 5000 miles then wam last week the clamp broke off next to 1 bolt. Now i have SUPER KLUNK until the new clamp arrives at the dealer tuesday. Im just doing all of the work my self. The dealers around St louis dont care about nothing. I took my last car in and it came back with a huge dint in it where some fat ass had leaned against it. And they said it came in that way and for some reason about 12 new cars had the same damage the next week :p

I also had the same problem, the "clunk". I took it to my dealer 4 times and at the 4th time the mechanic ordered new bushings and wrapped teflon tape around the bushings and around the bolts holding them on. 12k miles and still no clunk. try it to see if it works

hmm, interesting. maybe ill do this, but i need a lift. (hmm)

All you need is a jack and stands.

I cant see this lasting for too long, but hopefully it holds up till the real fix.

i've crawled under there before with the car not being up and cant imaging working on the car while on jack stands

When I installed my MP3 rear sway bar on my LX,I used the stock 15mm swaybar bushings and brackets .I opened the bushings up untill they just fit on the bar . They have been on for almost 2 years now and no clunks .

man that's pretty much what the dealer does for my mp3 every 5 months, hopefully you did it better than them and is going to work, but i used that to get free oil changes.

here are the part #'s for the 15mm bar
B30H-28-151 bracket
G564-28-150A bushing
GA2A-28-155A Bushing ,I'm not sure which bushing is for the 15mm bar . You will have to check with the dealer . Malcolm

I'm gonna try Louis' fix and use anti-seize compound as a lubricant instead of grease - it shouldn't migrate as much.
