I present to you, the Passion5

Hey are you looking for a tail light? I have both of mine boxed up in my basement. They've been in nice little boxes for close to three years now if not longer. Perfect condition.

If only I had known that earlier, I bought the passenger side a month ago and finally found the driver's side on Tuesday. Thanks for looking out for me though!

Updates on the car?

Progress is still kind of slow. I need to sell several of the original parts I have for the P5 to fund a few things needed to get the motor in the car and road worthy, what do you guys think about some limited edition Passion5 memorabilia? :D Since my last update, I picked up the driver-side OEM taillight, a set of Yudkib's gauge rings and "should" have a set of strips for the roof on the way in the next day or so.

I did finally get the engine on the engine stand for cleaning and making it easier to replace a few parts. This Saturday, I'm hoping to get the engine de-greased and ready for paint, maybe even fill the motor mounts ;)

What's needed to get it in?
- Clutch
- Headers
- Half Shaft
- Timing Belt
- Valve Cover Gasket
- Starter

fill the mounts while you're at it. With silicone at least. You will love yourself down the road for it.

:D I did this in my SE-R using 3M window weld, amazing results and that's the plan with the P5. In my SE-R it was very smooth and a great (and budget) alternative to buying solid mounts or inserts.

if you are still looking for a tail light let me know, i have a perfect passenger side one on the car and am interested on what came with the passion5, just hit me up and maybe we could meet for the exchange

So I managed a bit of progress over the weekend. My a-pillars were full of staple holes and painted 3 different colors and it was the same story with the b-pillar panels and every panel above the doors. I managed to rip off some interior bits from a 2000 LX, but they weren't quite the same color; so a quick respray was in order. Since they were being painted grey, I started with a rust colored primer so I could easily tell where I had laid paint. Since the closest grey I could fine only came in a gloss, and I'm not the glossy type, I also purchased a satin finish clear. After a couple coats of the grey I through on a couple coats of clear. I had to take the headliner out to fix the roof so I have to install any of the pieces.

I also managed to remove all of the body filler from the roof, which must have been about 20lbs worth, it was 1/4" thick in places! :eek I sanded down all of the rails with 80 grit they wiped clean with alcohol. After that I coated the rails and any other rust in the area with Navel Jelly and let it sit for 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes I hosed it down and wiped it dry. I followed that up with 2 coats of Rust-Oleum Professional primer. As you can see from the pic below, aside from a 12" strip down the center of the roof, the entire rood was filler. Where do people get these ideas???

I even managed to put the the front end back together, mostly because I needed to clear out some space in the trunk of the P5. You can see where I've been testing colors on the fenders, the car looks like a bag of tropical skittles, I think I'm going with sunburst yellow.

All i can say is, im impressed.
and makes me feel a lot better about my few minor scratches on my car LOL

I hate to admit this but that pink color is starting to grow on me. Unique fo sho! The total hack job on the body and interior, now that is another story. Good luck and keep up the good work. The yellow will be sweet azz also! Oh wait, was that "motor honey", brake fluid, and hand sanitizer scattered about the interior? What do you suppose whent on in the back of this car? On second thought I don't want to know.
