i need some advice on looks

I wanna tint my windows and change out the rims on my P5..

....eventually....

...tint will prob come first.. i just want some opinions, silver mirror tint or black tint.. and chrome rims or galvenized or painted? My p5 is yellow, and im going for a yellow/red theme with my lights and everything else. Also, does anyone know of a decent place to get tint done in Dallas? I dont wanna spend a bunch,, but i want a good job.

Well I'd say go with black tint personally. I find the yellow/black are matched very nicely. As well, not sure but in some places silver mirror tint might be against the law anyhow...

There's a guy here in Arlington with the reflective tint and there's another guy with a yellow P5 with black tint I think. They both look good.

I also have a yellow P5, and getting the windows tinted was the best $240 bucks I have spent. With the black A-pillars and window frames, the car looks super clean! (wow)

Definitely Black tint. You can't lose because it's not trendy. Trendy things will get dated, just like trendy clothes. I thought about silver, reflective tint on my silver P5, but I'm so glad I didn't get it. I see it on other cars and it's tacky to me now. You won't get sick of the look of black tint. I have dark tint all around, including the front side windows, which is illegal. But it looks awesome. When I see a cop, I just roll both front windows down. So, black for sure. I got mine tinted on all windows, except windshield of course, with lifetime warranty for only $110 bucks.

On a yellow car, you want the wheels to be silver coated, NOT polished. Polished wheels look cool on metallic colored cars. But standard colors (like yellow) look better with painted rims. And yeah. Go with black tints.

right after i read the post that started this thread, i was gonna suggest yellow reflective tint... however, then i saw one of the posts below that.. about the black a pillars.... and that is an EXCELLENT point... if you get a nice dark black tint (even tho its illegal in some places to go beyond a certain percentage) i think it would look PIMP.... as for right now... im not sure on wheter I want tint or not... i was originally gonna get blue reflective w/ engravings in it... but im starting to change my mind... no tint will probably set me apart more than any form of tint.. and i like originality...

so my advice: black

as for wheels, i would go w/ some nice dark gunmetal or black powdercoat, i think yellow w/ black scheme would be bad ass... thats always been my opinion on the mp3's.... blue looks good w/ white "highlights" (grill, wheels, etc) and the yellow looks damn good w/ black highlights...

guess its been said but here goes again....BLACK TINT....with the black frames on the windows it looks a lot better...I too have a yellow P5 and tinted windows......

I for one KNOW that blue tint DOES set you apart!, it grabs alot of attention, but it was WAYYY to much money for me, because i had to have it 'professionally' removed(per repair order)

I went through the same thing you are going through, i have a yellow p5 and everyone was telling me mirrored tint....but i went with BLACK OF COURSE!! 5% all around. Check it out

I know it wouldn't work o your ride but I saw a black to blue tint on a deep blue acura TL. It looked absolutley awsome and I tend to hate things like that. The fade was perfect.
