i got this CEL since last winter... my car was doing fine when the CEL came the very first time(last year during big snow) it was showing p2187.checked everything it seems no leakage at all. but weir thing is it was doing all good special in this summer my car seems had no problem driving no bouncing rpm, no rough idle, it was just going on and off, mostly of the time it will stays on for maybe 100miles and then went off, after i drove for another 200-300 miles boom s*** came back, at that time car is acting normal too. but matter just got worst in the past 2 weeks, when i drove the car in cold(engine just started up for a bit), the rpm will go up and down for few times, when the engine is fully warm, it seems ok no bouncing rpm,no power lose. but today when i filled my tank up full. start the car up boom the car idling so rough, but only last few seconds than it stop, this time the CEL been on for long time(havent check the cel yet), it didnt went off like be4. when i reset the ecu it will come right back within 20miles, i remembered be4 i reseted the ecu it wont come back till like 200-300miles, i though i may need a tune since i got full intake and cattless dp/rp and bov on stock tuned. so i was like well maybe tunning was the key. since its first time doing rough idle, but i bet it will happen again, could this situation was made by a faulty purge silonid valve? i think one of our member having issue like this and the new pruge valve fixed his problem. im really tight on budget and out of warranty, plus my VEIP test is due on december 1. my turbo is also smoking like mother ******. i really want to fix it anyone have this experience be4?

What brand of bov do u have? Is the BOV a VTA type?

SYNAPS FULLY RECIR...i was also thinking could this be bad pcv valve?? i got a oil catch can hooked to it with secondary pcv valve.

If it is code p2187, that is a lean condition.

DTC P2187

System too lean at idle

DETECTION CONDITION

• The PCM monitors short term fuel trim (SHRTFT) and long term fuel trim (LONGFT) during closed loop fuel control during idle. If the LONGFT or the sum total of these fuel trims and correction exceed preprogrammed criteria, PCM determines that fuel system is too lean during idle.
Diagnostic support note
• This is a continuous monitor. (Fuel system)
• MIL illuminates if PCM detects the above malfunctioning condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
• PENDING CODE is available if PCM detects the above malfunction conditions during first drive cycle.
• FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
• The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

• Misfire
• Front HO2S deterioration
• Front HO2S heater malfunction
• MAF sensor malfunction
• Pressure regulator (built-in fuel pump unit) malfunction
• Fuel pump malfunction
• Fuel filter clogged or restricted
• Fuel leakage on fuel line from fuel delivery pipe and fuel pump
• Leakage exhaust system
• Purge solenoid valve malfunction
• Purge solenoid hoses improper connection
• Air suction in intake-air system
• Insufficient engine compression
• Variable valve timing control system improper operation
