I need an MSP 24MM axle.

Where the heck can I get one of these? After 114k miles of gear stomping my driver's side axle has started to squeak and I need to replace it. It sounds like the CV joint is going bad.
Mainly when turning towards the right. I have allready pulled it apart and checked it.
I will go to the dealership but only if there isn't an alternative.

Thanks...

What's wrong with rebuilding it? If you can get the same life out of it again then do it right? Unless you need to upgrade to stronger axles that is what i would do.

Well that's just it. I can't find anyone who makes stronger axles.
Hell I can't even find anyone who sells the stock axles. Mazda gave me the run-a-round acting like they didn't even want to be bothered to look them up.

When you PM'd me about axles, I didn't realize you needed one. Check your PM's.

did you look in the FAQ?

There is nothing wrong with having a driveline shop rebuild your oem shafts. In fact its a better route than buying replacements which may be wrong and could damage your transaxle IMO. What ever you do measure and scope out your replacements and compare them to the old ones before installing them if you go with replacements.

Seeing how much confusion exist out there in the parts world and that parts are often listed as fitting the MSP, when in fact they do not, I'm going the rebuild route when its time. Mike's Driveline in Tampa does good work.

First off this forum RAWKS BAWLS! (rockon)

Second, Thanks to Diggy, Da Man and to Turf Burn for hooking me up with info and assistance. I found a place to get them cheap and I will buy one in the morning.

You guys make owing an MSP a great experience.

Thank you. (bowdown)

I have an oem one with about 50,000 miles on it that I will part with for a few dollars. The oem one from mazda is on back order, but only takes about 3 weeks to get one. THey the one I just put in costed 420, then I installed only to realise that it was not the prob.

How much for those nubian shafts of constant velocity? What's one going to set you back?
One bottle of Jerry Curl, some pork skins, and an XBOX360 Premium.
ALL HAIL The N.S.o.C.V. !(crazy)

In the process. These things go for $420 new? Man, my price just doubled! :P
