I need an education...

So I got a spiffy new Mica MSP and I have wanted to build a street racer for many years now. I believe the MSP can be a nice one, but I have very little knowledge on how to make that happen.

I have read just about this entire forum, and while I have learned ALOT already, I feel like I'm missing the fundamentals. I have dumb questions like is the optimum air/fuel ratio a fixed number or is it specific to each engine and how does one figure out compression ratios under specific boost psi?

I don't want to keep asking dumb questions, so I would ask if anyone knows a good book/manual/website that I can use to figure these things out myself.
