i might have a new problem (pics inside )

Doesn't sound like he was doing anything extreme and he had the BC off for 3K miles. Probably just a random failure that would have happened regardless.

hopefully its covered, isnt a new motor ridiculously expensive? maybe you could go with protegegarages block and put all the stock stuff on that one and get a new set of rods and pistons.

And scratched up. Or is that related to removal?

NA IT WAS A WEAR ISSUE. U CAN TELL BC ITS REAL THIN ON ONE SIDE AND NORMAL ON THE OTHER

MODING WOULD BE NICE BUT BUT WARRENTY WONT DON N ETHING LIKE THAT. IDD LIKE TO PAINT THE FIRE WALL BLACK SO I CAN PAINT THE OUTSIDE TO MAKE MINE DIFFERENT SINCE IM A PAINTER BUT I DONT THINK THEY WILL LET ME. I CAN HOPE THO!

It doesnt really matter if he had a bc on at the time or not, if it did damage while it was on that will still make it fail down the road.

Erither way, good luck with the rebuild.

This is a very good point! Anyway the op seems cool and I wish him luck.
Let us know how it goes.

ok they had my car all day.
it started off at one mazda dealer then they had it towed to where i bought the car from! b/c they worked on it the week b4 for the 7500 mile service. or they just didn't wana put a motor in it lol.

then i got a rental car and they told me they would call me back by 5 and never did!

i took the part of the rod i had and gave it to the service manager and he was like wow wtf. it was funny then hey gave it to some1 higher up and he was like so how fast was it ?

guy: so how fast was it ?
me: hu? what are you talking about?
guy: you know how fast did it go in the 1/4?
me: dude i was on a one way one lane road (thinking 2 my self its winter no track is open but what ever)
guy: ok just kidding
me : (in head) wtf
guy: dont worry we will get this straighten out
me got my rental and left

yeah at 8100 miles unless you beat the s*** out of it i doubt the little mods you had had much if anything to contribute to this. sure you bcd + b/c paired could easily cause something like this but only if you set it like a retard. but with this cars fuel cut its kinda hard to do that. and if the dealer isnt fighting you on whats most likely the most expensive fix they could do to this car the its obvious they think its a factory defect. glad to hear its getting taken care of. he how funny would it be if you brough them back the rental in the same condition your car is now? " i dont know why this keeps happening, you mean "R" doesnt stand for racing?"

yea they always try some bulls*** like that...they wanted to see if you slipped anything out and he would have voided your warranty right there. Good luck dude..

No, I didnt say that. Although I find it hard to believe an all stock car would grenade like that. And im not anti-mod, im all about modding safley, unlike you ;)

its entirely possible - pretty unlikely, yet possible - that a factory turbo car would explode under the right conditions. its happened more than once on dynos, even stock. if the right amount of excessive load combined with other conditions is placed on said car, anything can happen.

(shocked)

isnt your forged engine less then 5k? if it came down to it i think i know where id go.

it is 5000 for the built block we offer

Lol that reminds me of my eclipse, Ive still got a chunk of the rod as a paper weight on my desk!

Not Lol at your situation though, that really sucks man, you will be getting a whole new engine though, or atleast the lower half. Hope everything goes smooth....
