I may need some HELP!!!

Heres the story guys. Today was my thired visit to Mazda for the buzzing noise that occurs at 2000 rpm in 2,3,4,5 gears. It's not a crunching noise nor is it a grinding noise but it's a buzzing noise that I could feel trembiling on the shift knob...huh? The Mazda guy told me that it was nothing because I installed a sports-shifter and had the Kartboy installed. He claimed that since everything is tighten up, thats the reason why it made that noise. He also concluded that the stock one should not buzz, I said that the buzzing noise also existed when I still had my stock shifter along with the stock bushing. He said that it was normal for this car to have a buzzing noise..........wtf? I need some help! If this is normal then I rest my case, but if it's not I'm going to the Mazda Corps. with my attorney. (btw, I've worked at the U.S. Courthouse as a Federal Probation and Pretrial Officer)

Another problem with my car is the face of my mp3 deck. The graphics is all mushy and can't see any graphics. The Mazda guy said that they are waiting for Mazda to send them the tools to fix this........ I was like wtf, I have waited all summer for them to get that phucken tool....... they must be B.Sing me around. I might also complain to Mazda Corp about this.

Please assist me on these matters and issues. I appreciate everyones input as soon as possible, before I write to Mazda Corp.

go to another dealership, get their opinion and tell them blank dealersship sounds a bit shady and ask them for help. THey may at least be able to give you some info into what rights you have concerning getting your car fixed at the dealership you bought it at.

mine used to buzz then i got a better shift knob and it didn't anymore. the is a vibration a certain rpm range onn the car that will make anything thats not solid vibrate thus rattle. get a solid one piece shift knob and it wont buzz.

I had the same problem with my face plate. I took it to mazda and they replaced it with a brand new one right away.

i had 3 z919 failures, never any graphic failures. I eventually got a z828 and im much happier with that. Plus it has a detachable face.

Ok, see if your buzzing matches this:

Car moving, in gear, clutch is engaged, whenever you are not giving gas it buzzes like a tiny rattle but goes away when you press the gas pedal - does this happen?

or

You are giving it gas and accelerating and you hear a high pitched whine that seems to go up in pitch as you accelerate - does this happen?

If these things happen to you just like I described then it's coming from the Kartboy bushings. If it's something else than I don't know, it might be the shifter, who knows.

You are almost correct with the first discription. Here is a discription of exactly when the sound come in: When I start the car it sounds fine and idles fine. When I shift into 1st it goes in fine. When I let off the clutch for gear 1 and step on the gas to accelerate forward the car sounds fine. I then shift at 2500 rpm for 2nd gear, the shift feels fine. NOW, while in second gear after when I let engaged my clutch and step on the gas, I'll wait until my rpm hits 2000 rpm and when it does it makes this "buzz" noise and vibrate on my shifter (its not a small vibration, it's actually pretty loud). It's annoying especially driving up hill. This sound will come in at gears 2,3,4, and 5, but only at 2000 rpm, this noise does NOT come on at higher RPMs.

About my the face of my mp3 deck, how the hell am I going to fix that? Since Mazda denied having the tool, who should contact to get it fix for me? i'm still under warrenty. I think they just want me to wait until my warrenty expire and then they're going to say somthing like, "ugh dude your cars' warrenty expired so you are going to pay for it....." Phuck that, I aint going to pay for s***.

oh yea BTW, the buzz noise also existed before I put the kartboy bushing in. Just that now it's louder because its' stiffer.

BTW again, I have a Greedy shift that screws on perfectly. The knob is tightly strewed on so it can't be the knob!
