That was pretty good! Good luck with the MSP man and BE SAFE! I talked to my friend today who works for mazda as a tech and he said someone already wrecked one. Probably some idiot who doesnt know how to drive! He said the guy came in bitchin' and moaning because they didnt have any spare parts for the MSP. The guy just bought the car a week ago.... some people. Its 50% car and 50% driver!

my first mod to my msp is gonna be a hundred or so pounds of car stereo and install in the trunk :):D:)

lets see a turbo mp3 run up on me then! thats gotta add like 50 horses eh!?

lol

It's so good to finally find a site with so many fellow MP3/MSP/P5/Pro owners to share ideas and opinions (good or bad). I'm still recovering from the euphoria after delving into the various forums and experiencing information overload.

To clarify BIG BEN's comment on whether the MSP uses the Garett T25 or T28, it uses the T25. This turbo was used as stock equiptment on various sport compacts throughout the world. One obvious application was in the 2nd gen Mitsu Eclipse/Eagle Talon, and with only minor mods (intake, exhaust, etc.) was capable of running from 13psi safely. This doesn't mean that the MSP will be able to do the same, but it gives you an idea of the turbos reliability limits.

After i find a GOOD fabricater to create a less restrictive downpipe/exhaust combination (most likely 2.5" dia), and have a larger front mount intercooler/plumbing (2.5"dia) installed i will start turning up the boost. I'm going to force myself to stay within the 10 psi range to keep it reliable, I'm sure that will be sufficient for substantial hp gains (guessing 15-20 or so). If anyone has any ideas on any of above please tell me.

I was also wondering if anyone out there lives in B.C. (CAN) and has gotten their MSP yet. I got mine in late Nov and i haven't seen any in other dealers or on the street.

And to the MP3 owners out there, what was the MSRP or how much did you pay for the car when new?

No, I was directing that towards the guy that started the thread, the guy with the MSP. I thought that was pretty clear.

yea, i was out of it that night, dont mind me.

I accually raced one today, and won by a carlength. Vic's (Pirana)cousin just pick his up last nigh. Now not that it cannot be driven hard yet. The street was empty, and it was a 20-70 sprint. We both went for a ride in each to see the difference, and we both agree that my MP3 was faster. There are officially MSP's in Arlington, Texas!!

Zs'MSP, I realy think the MSP is a very good package for the money. Don't be to much dissapoint to get beat by a Turbo MP3. We put lot of money, time and work on our Turbo car, you just pick your's from the dealer! ;)

If I take a look at the differences between your car and my Turbo MP3, there's a lot of BIG difference in the setup. Bigger Turbo, less restrictive air filter, full 2 1/2 exhaust line, no more cath, free flow muffler. Those things make our system to breath and exhaust lot better than your car. I run in the low 14, so if a MSP owner want to be faster than me, he will need to work a little bit on his car.

PortCityMP3, congradulation man. I'm proud to be a Turbo MP3 owner! (thumb)

Why bring it back up? It's from a year ago, and doesn't even belong in this forum anymore.
