I Hate Laloosh!!!!!!

Ahh ok cool. I saw your datalogs, massive difference from the 800psi stock to the aftermarket pump.

So how come everyone is cutting at the same rev point? If it's because the stock pump is running out of fuel, with everyone being in different states of modification, wouldn't the cut all be at random rev ranges? It looks a bit odd that everyone's pump is running out of fuel at exactly the same rev point even though people have different setups.

my afr are roughly 10-11
but i havent had a chance to log that yet i have a LM1 wideband and im tryin to figure out how to delete a full log, till then i cant log it???? yes laugh at me now, but soon i will figure it out lol

post your tune up, then compare it to my tune, i bet they are very similar. As for the rpm question. Different fuel cuts happen at different rpm. You have the random rpm cold cut, u have the pump cut that happens at 4500 plus, u have the boost cut which starts right int he meat of the powerband, 3500-4000. and you have the this ecu like to **** u cut, aka random, fixed with the spring mod lol

hahahaha, so many cuts lol
i love this car but im getting fed up with it after modding. And now after i get that pg manifold and blow off im gonna need that fuel pump
and i still wanna put some wheels and spring in it :(
I NEED MONEY LOL

Great, thanks for that Loosh. I've learnt more in your 3 posts on here than i have trying to understand the many threads on this issue.

So we have a few cuts. What's the difference between them and how do you know what cut you have?

Cold cut happens at which rpm? 3500-4000 correct?
fuel cut happens around 4500
boost cut 3500-4500
random for the hell of it cut

How will i know what type of cut i am getting as they are all around the same spot? Do they all feel the same? When i read other threads on people saying they have a cut, Driver stated they needed a new fuel pump. How could driver know he was running out of fuel if we have the above 4 different scenario's?

theres no difference btwn fuel and boost cut. It the same thing, the only difference is that different things trigger fuel cut and so far we have different solutions.

If you boosting 17-18psi on the stock map and are cutting out, u have to get a map clamp or boost cut defender.

If ure car is sputtering really quick but still acc, datalog ure fuel pressue to make sure its dropping, after u confirm its dropping, order a pump

If your car violently jerks only when its cold outside, Try the spring mod

If your car still cuts after all 3 of these solution, get creative like cpe did and try solutions to add to the list. however with these 3, i have solved all my fuel cut issues.

search threads that i started, you will see my fuel pump thread, browse through it and you should find most of your answers

Ok awesome, the list above makes it very clear on what to do.
So lets say i'm out about in my MS3 enjoying the freezing cold air and the car starts bucking like a wild bull.
Step one: Try the spring mod which Driver suggested. If the car still bucks that means the springs aren't he problem.
Step two: Map clamp? Ok i put that on like many others but still get bucking which means we can eliminate that one.
Step three: Fuel pump? If the above 2 steps do not work then this being the last option you listed therefore means the stock fuel pump cannot supply enough fuel correct?

I have read the other threads, some were informative, others a swamp of confusion and contradiction. Your posts in this thread have been a fantastic help. I'm just stuck on understanding this last bit:
In cold weather vs normal weather. udontknowjack's car who has intake/fmic/tbe/ems tuned @ 18.8psi and is not getting a fuel cut is using less fuel that your car which did fuel cut in cold weather with intake/tbe @ 15psi?
If this is the case, during Winter do your MS3's experience a dramatic increase in fuel consumption?

Alrite did some logging today, and FUEL CUT IS BACK!!!! and maybe even a little stutter
Im having problems opening my graphs, my comp doesnt kno what progrem to use to open it?? anyone kno how to open them using the cp-e ems?

i zeored out everything and set boost to 17.0psi and in 4th i was getting a little stutted at the higher end rpm, stopped while tryin to look at afr's and my graphs
but then in 3rd gear at WOT i got fuel cut,(9 degrees C, 48 degrees F)evrything is logged but i cant open the graphs
my afr were hovering around 11 but i will try n log those too

for y second setting i have 18psi with 2% pulled in the higher rpms but i will not attempt that till i can log my afr's properly
but over the weekend i will do the coil trick n see what that does

what does ure a/f look like rowing through the gears. try a 3rd gear roll at 3k and go to 6k, shift hard to 4th and go through it.
