I has a 360.

i think it will be about the same experience. the only gripe i can see people having is that you're so used to playing GTA with a dual shock that going to a different controller won't be as comfortable? i don't know, i'm biased so i am the wrong person to ask. i think 360 is a better system to own period than a ps3. once you're done with GTA, you'll either have a 360 and all the great games currently on that system and then to come, or a ps3 and fewer compelling reasons to own one outside of Gran Turismo or Metal Gear.

true a great system and mooore games, but for the luang haull the ps3 may be better it has 9 proccers with 10 usable threads, whereas the 360 has 3 proccessors with 6 usable threads-thus "360". from what i understand currently game graphics are only cracking about half the potential power of the 360 so once they surpass that then the ps3 will start to have better graphics, not ot mention its a bluray player. I love my 360 I had Forza for 2 weeks then i had to lone it to the damm pawn shop...lol

i'm fully aware that PS3 is practically a supercomputer in a sleek black shell. technology in the gaming industry traditionally means very little though. psp is a far superior handheld to the DS and yet the DS outsells is 3 to 1 globally. neo geo, 3DO, jaguar, n64 were all examples of technologically superior hardware that either failed outright or didn't gain the following in order to succeed. its all about the games and how fun they are. i think microsoft has the upper hand, and in a way nintendo does too, simply because they command the numbers (12million and 13million to sony's 5million) that sell the software. sony no longer has that advantage, and thats really what developers are going to look at. thats why companies still develop game boy games 20 years after the thing was released.

there will be amazing ps3 games i am sure, which is part of the reason i don't ebay the sucker. i just see 360 and wii having more games and more of the games i want to play. that doesn't even talk about the online content. xbox live friggin rules compared to playstation network.

specs don't define a system, content does. otherwise nintendo wouldn't be able to sell 13 million of what is arguably nothing more than an upgraded gamecube with motion controllers :)

Something tells me that by the time they hit the apex of either system, a new generation of game systems will be out or something will completely revolutionize the gaming industry.

good point them games and the online experiance is the most important though I hate paying for xbox live... ps3 online is free, the graphics are good enough in the 360 and with better games

so here's a question for you 360 people. Which system will be better to have for GTA IV; PS3 or 360(or I guess PC since that's an option)? I hear that Rockstar is releasing extra content for GTA IV exclusively on 360. Thoughts?

I have a 360 and I think that is the way to go for GTA. The exclusive content is going to be good and stuff that is on both the 360 and PS3 seems to be better on the 360. Madden 08 runs like s*** on the PS3 but runs very smoothly, even over Madden 07, on the 360.

I'm pretty much on the same page with everyone. I just wondered if there were any advantages I didn't know about for the PS3, but it sounds like nothing considerable.

Yeah, nothing really I can think about for GTA. For the system, I guess the only things really that the PS3 has over the Xbox is the wireless networking out of the box, it's a $100 add-on for Xbox, and HD size for older Xbox 360's is 20 GB, I don't know if they come with 120 GB now since the premium is the Elite basicly now.

How is that xbox treating you Phil?

Ken, I'll be picking up mine this weekend along with the poster at either your place or at the shop. PM me.

Good graphics, same old flight sim bulls***.

thats pretty much true of any ps3 or 360 game in many respects. better graphics but same old gameplay.

i love COD4 from what i've seen of it. halo 3 didn't do much for me honestly.
