2003 spicy orange MSP
on www.cincystreetscene.com a ser spec-v called me out to a race. now, before i make the same mistake as others... I AM NOT GOING TO DO ANY STREET RACING!!! he and i talked at the last meet and we just wanted to know who would win. i have heard mixed reviews on the results of races between these two cars. not saying that i would agree to take him on in the 1/4 mile (at a sanctioned drag-strip of course) but could i win. i think he has an intake and exhaust. i would like to see if he can keep up with me on a road course!

btw... not starting a flame war, i like spec-v's. i was considering getting one but however, they dont come in spicey orange :)

Its a Drivers race. Either of you coould just depends on whos the better driver but if he is running a full intake exhuast and header it will be alot tougher.

I just dont agree with street racing. I've seen and heard lot of bad stories from street racing.
But nattyboy, if you decide to race, just becareful and good luck.

1st MP3 is right. It's just a matter of driver skill considering how closely matched the two cars are. It would be a very good one at a legal 1/4 mile track. Have fun and keep it on the track!! That's what they are for....Racing!

ya man be safe, hate to see a wrecked MSP.. who cares about you! JK JK JK take it to the track and have some fun! good luck

i say take it to the track and let her rip. I'd really like to see the outcome of this too. But seeing that we're able to run 14.9 stock, it would be VERY interesting. But i think whoever has a better launch will likely be the winner. Just don't miss any shifts ;)

i think i am going to wait to get the cai and an oil change... the exhaust discharge(even if it is harmless) kinda scares me. i think i will be much closer if i have the cai on. and of cousre i am not street racing.

I personally enjoyed the comment by the guy with the Turbo Thunderbird:

"Yep, my T-bird weighs 2874 soaking wet, and me standing next to it"

Yeah, right!!! I'm pretty sure the t-bird was coming in MUCH closer to 4000 lbs than 2900.....

They were 4200 lbs before the car was discontinued in the late 90s.....

nattyboy , if you want to settle this once and for all, pick a date and setup a REAL race (read: a race track, 1/4 mile or road circuit, don't matter) against him. Everything will be written down in black and white numbers and everyone (not just your and his 'crews') will witness your total ownage upon him :D

if he's so confident that his SpecV will own your ass, take up the challenge and put it down ON PAPER (and video tape, if you can ;) )

good luck!!!!
