I finally did it. Double Din

So I FINALLY finished my Double Din Project for my 6. It's done, in the car and works like a charm. Been a busy week, here are the photos.

Beeb a busy week, and I just got free tickets to the wings game tonight! My camera sucks, but you get the idea. lol


I also forgot the take photos of the hazard switch, but I have one from before I finished the whole project. so.... here:

It's where one of the blank buttons was by the coin holder on the DS.

I think I might paint the knobs for the climate controls black to offset the color a little better. Though I do think it looks good since I added the silver rings around the vents. Gives it a shadow effect.

How did you setup the USB port, does that HU have an input for USB?

Yeah, did everything myself. And actually there is no ACTUAL fiberglass involved. I did everything with ABS, Acetone, and autobody bondo as a filler for the gaps.

Yes the unit has a USB input, most Pioneers do. It's also a blutooth unit which is why I ordered it from work. Eventually I will put a Nav screen with bluetooth in, but for now this looks and works great. The imporvement in sound quality alone made it all worth it. Even with changing the speakers in the car, nothing makes a difference like a change in HU.
