I don't understand this...

I know this thread is old but since this one is the most recent I like to ask people and share info about me running nitrous and my future plans w/ my nitorus.

I have been squeezing N.O.S. wet system eversince I owned my '97 civic when I was 17. Im 25 now and I use to squeeze 60 shot on my 1.8 BP 1st gen 323. I never blew anything up even with the engine having 80K miles on the clock. W/ or w/out the nitrous the car runs fine the compression and such is still in spec. Anyways, I never planned on slapping a N.O.S. nitrous kit on my p5 especially now that I only have 15k miles but since I sold my 323 and I only have this p5 to play around with I want to run 14's on the track this June. I will have headers (ractive), Intake (already have), no cat, obx muffler (only at the track but will put back the cat and stock muffler on the street) and my 50 shot nos wet system. I will be using the nitrous on the street when needed not just on the track but since Im not sure about the FS enigne I'm asking you guys for opinion. Don't want to spend much on the motor ie. replacing the rods so Im keeping it stock like that...

Thank you.

Don't do it, The Rods are weak...

This engine has an interesting combination of a Crazy ECU and Weak Rods. To get any sustained performance gains, you mus adress both.

LOL Brian! That's ssssooo true. Adress the 2 and this engine is a little killer!

if i had a n/a fs I would buy 94 gas, colder plugs,k and n drop in, ditch the cats, put the IAT sensor by the rad and run a 35 shot all day. With 15" wheels, decent tires and no extra weight I bet you could surprise a bunch of stock mspers at the track for alot less $ and if you dont spray in 1st a better take off since you wont be spinning much compared to a FS-T.
