Hey guys...
Could someone in a brief summary explain me how to use or how does the "Sport Automatic Transmission" work...? shifting up/down in auto tranny?


My MZ3hb hasn't arrived YET...But I'm preparing my self with you guys...

First I thought the new 3 will have 5-speed AT (like the 6) but it still only have 4-speed. CRAP!!
The Sport AT allows you to change gear without a clutch. It will automatically gear down but doesn't gear up. I don't like it at all specially there are only 4-speed. If you like to drive go for the really manual transmission.
I have test drove a 3s couple of days ago. I like new 3's engine it is very powerful, not much a fan of the new look tho. Oh well...

- is for downshift

not faster shifting....but higher shifting points and downshifts that you can control....you can redline, and redline and redline and even hold it at redline til your car explodes!!!pretty cool, huh?

there is a slight lag in the shifting (in the p5 anyway). i rarely use mine at all.....

in my 3 there is a slight lag, i saw if you are going for a manual feel, go manual, my manual p5 was a blast, the auto is nice in the O.C./ L.A. traffic here in so cal, it gets the job done and is sort fun, the lag seems minimal in my 3, haven't driven a P5 with a auto.
