2002 Mazda Protege 5
GRRRRRRR.... I HATE DEALERSHIPS!!!! So yeah, I bought my car on New Years Eve... I wont go into huge details but my Sales man is a complete ASSHOLE! He was VERY rude to me,he even made me cry... I ran into several issues and was with about my car for many days, and I had just bought the damn thing... About a week ago there were supposed to get the scratch and paint chips off the car, when I picked it up it looked like they took a sharpy silver marker to the chips... So they said oh, bring it in again and I will buff out the scratch that didnt even looked like it was touched... I take it in yesterday they buff it..... Almost get the scratch out, AND TOOK THE DAMN PAINT OFF!!!!!! I am SO T'd off at this place its not even funny, I think everyone hates me there... lol So now instead of doing it right the first time they get fix everything right this time. Again, I will be without my car next week.... I am Pissed cause I was going to take it to speedway and race it this weekend, but now it will have that damn paint scrape.... GRGRGRGRGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
 
That sucks. I would be looking for a new service department after that is all fixed. Good luck.
 
LOL.... I should... I was kinda interested in driving and RX8. But they wouldnt give it to me the last time I wanted it... I got a POS 05 Accent and before that I got an 03 grand prix...lol... Oh Well, I will try and take some pictures of where the paint was taken off... its not a huge spot.. but it's my Baby, you know how it goes... I would say it's about 4-5 inches around...
 
Damn thats some bad luck. I'm taking my car in next week I think for a headlight issue. Hopefully I'll have a good experience. First time at the dealer in 43,000 miles.

Just demanding a nice car... say this is BS youve never felt like such s*** for others mistakes, you have the right mind to never recommend this stealership to anyone. Tell them you dont want some POS... this wouldnt even be needed had they not ****** up.
 
Oh trust me I have... I got my sales man fired.... But working there I am sure you know that wont last long, he will be working there again in no time..

When you get you car back, you might want to mention something to the general manager about the local better business bureau...and I am sure Mazda has some system by which you can let the big wigs know how you have been treated.

Thank you for all the help.. I already reported them to the BBB. and will be writing letters to the owner and all the top people. Someone who was nice to me is giving me names and addresses to everyone I need to send a letter to.

s***, if he did that, I'd go apeshit on him. Not just that but I would have asked for a NICE reduction if possible on the car.
 
Amajoy by chance was the dealer named Showcase Mazda??? I bought mine from there and have gotten so sick of fighting with them I now use a dealer that from my house is a 25 mile single way trip. Now I am using Berge Mazda in Mesa, these people now how the treat a person so far.

I know the feeling of the dealerships jerking a person around, and actually was insulted by one dealer here in Phoenix. I wouldnt send my worst enemy to Bell Mazda, the place that insulted me.

I hope they get your baby fixed right, this silver paint isn't easy to match trust me I know from experience. My car got lightly hit in October and it took the shop 3 attempts before they got the paint to match perfectly. I had to have the drivers door and left front fender replaced, and they just couldnt get the paint to exactly match at first. They never told me why and I didn't press them for an answer, I was just happy it finally matched.

If your not using Berge Mazda, I would suggest giving them a try for me they have been fabulous so far. If you do go to Berge Mazda speak to Michelle in service, she is the person I deal with and she is great.

Hey Larry, I actually bought my car on the Hyundai lot of the Bell Road Auto mall. I believe Bell Mazda is real close. They move the Mazda service onto that lot. The service department has been VERY nice to me. Its the damn salesmen, the managers you can tell are totally pissed in the sales office, but they are generally nice to the customer.
 
Yep Bell Mazda is part of the 21 Bell Autogroup. Im glad the service department there is treating you good, after what a service advisor said to me when I went there I won't ever step foot on that dealership lot again.

Sounds like a reversal of my situation, my sales department was excellent but the service department just would not listen to a few concerns I had with my P5, Thats when I started using Berge Mazda as my servicing dealership.

I do hope you get your situation straightened out with the dealer, don't give up and if all else fails trying calling Mazda Corp themselves.

Sorry to read about your bad experience, Amajoy. What I don't get is why people keep going to dealerships for minor issues?
If someone there made you cry, why would you go back to have a paint chip repaired there?? You are SO much better off buying a $5 tube of touch-up paint (parts department will have exact paint match) and doing it yourself!
Sure you can ask for manager and then manager's manager and then make phone calls and write letters.. but do you really want to deal with all that?? It shouldn't have to be like that! And since unfortunately it is, the best thing you can do is avoid them unless you have a serious warranty issue.
 
You see, I keep going back because this is all stuff they promised would get done when I bought the car...
