OK, so with Nate's help, we put the 21.5mm SB on my car on Sat. Turns out that a 2 hour max job turned into a 5.5 hour ordeal. Long story short, we had to cut the end link bolts off of the strut tabs, because they were completely stripped by my friend and his air gun when we threw the Tokico's in. Good thing Nate had his trusty Dremmel! The sparks were flyin on Sat, let me tell you!
So went for a run after and the word of the day is OVERSTEER! Seriously, the car feels so neutral now, it's not even funny. Jimmy can attest to this, but I was seriously drifting on a couple turns. The back end just followed the front; wherever I pointed the front, the back would swing around to follow. For the Hwy. 9 runs we like to make, this is the perfect upgrade.
That was Sat. Yesterday, I spent another 6+ hours on the rider, washing and waxing. Gave her the full Meguire's 3-step treatment. SILLY SMOOTH! It's like buttah! I hate that I have to drive to work and back all week, but what can ya do? It's was the only chance I'm gonna get to really clean her up before SD. Like I was telling Andrew though, my buddy is gonna crash tape the font of my car before I get on the road Thursday. That way, I can just peel it off when I get down to SD, and the paint should be nice and clean still.
Andrew, I'm leaning towards taking 101 down to SD. 5 will be SWARMING with bugs, and 101 is only like 30 miles longer, plus you get a few stetches of twisties. Let me know. You also have a PM.
