i just got me ebay intake, took it out of the box...no instructions. me and my friend are gonna install it in a bit, is it really straightforward?

if you have any questions.. ask.. use the rubber fittings accordingly. Use the smallest blue fitting on the engine side. and follow my pics in my other thread.

ok, i just looked, i see the MAS and where that little blue tube goes, but on the first pipe out of the engine, theres something else in the pipe with wires leading to it..whats that

there are 4 things that need to be detached from the old intake and reattached with the new one..

Ventilation hose and purge selinoid(spelling..sorry) valve are closest to the throttle body. And the Air temp regulator and MAF are farther down the tube. You will need to hook all these up to the new Intake before reconnecting that battery...

Most of it is pretty straight forward, feel free to ask though.

hmm, there was one thing i didnt get...i got the blue tube it came with, the MAF, and the temperature regulator. there was something in the tube, but it didnt actually go into the air intake, it just had a little slot that it fit into, just holding it in place

 Can you explain a little more?
What was "in the tube"? It's not supposed to go "into" the intake.
The tube will connect somewhere on the outside of the intake (it might have a "niple" to slide it over just like on the valve cover) and to the side of the valve cover, where you removed the initial breather hose from.

I think I know what you are talking about...

Did it come off near the rear of the intake? It appears to be some sort of vacume sensor. It just clipped on the old intake, correct? There is no place to put it. I actually still have it hanging in place. I need to do something with it as well.
