How To: Wire Tuck/Engine Clean Up

You don't need that. It is a hose that connects the throttle body to the radiator fluid. I have removed that also, it only heats up the throttle body.

...won't fluid flow out of it? cuz...that kinda concerns me.

oh btw, is there a way to take out the wire harness from the engine bay?..i doubt it. but it seems it MAY be easier to work on this way.

edit- the throttle body, why would it need heating up?

Yes, fluid will leak out. You will need two caps: one for the hole inthe picture and one for the throttle body. You will need it for cold starts I think. There is a how to I am trying to search for right now. A lot of people have removed it.

You can remove the entire harness, but I think it'll be a big a b****... I have seen other members sell the harness itself, but IDK how you go about removing a lot of that.

gotcha. i'ma just remove all the s*** in my way, and unhook as much as possible w/ the sensors, and see where i go w/ that and how much room i have. if you get that how-to.let me know. thanks.

edit-what do you mean i'll NEED it for cold starts?

For when the weather gets very cold? Your car may not start. I'm not exactly sure. I'm still searching.

pfsst.. you make me feel dumb..i have cold starts..i know what it means. i'm saying i didn't know why it was NEEDED, like, if it made something not work by not having it..ya know?

Oh yah yah, you should be safe... Man this is so irritating lol I cant find the thread, sorry.

My friend did on his 240... A LOT of soldering involved. He moved it to his fender well...

oh i thought you did it on yours. that would look awesome. i guess you have to move all the wires or something?i might do this. i'd write up a how-to on that one.

o.O Nuts. Yah, you'd have to basically cut all the wires to the box, extend them, and move the fuse box where ever.

heh. where'd this one come from?(blue circled thing)

you should get some more shots of your current bay, to show me some good close ups and what not.

That was always there? That is the plug for the windshield wiper motor.

Oh no, I showed that area because I removed all those brackets and wires in that spot. The diagnostic box and ground wire was moved.

;] secret. It took some playing around to see where it could be hidden. Now it is the time for you to experiement hehe. I won't give all my secrets lol.

There was an article in Import Tuner this past month about wire tucking a Civic. Interesting to read.
