How to unlock Automatic Car Lock System

Yes, It does come with power lock, but mine lock all the doors when I brake, and only unlock if I pull the lock up, or when I turn off my engine.

A lot of new cars have this feature now. The doors will automatically lock when you start moving. You may want to look in your owner's manual or get a hold of a shop manual to try and disable this. I know on my truck there is a procedure in the manual that you follow and it will disable the automatic locks. Personally I like this feature because it is a safety feature to keep you from getting carjacked. Not to mention if you get into an accident and your doors are locked, they stand a higher chance of not popping open on impact.

getting in a crash whether your doors are locked or not doesn't make a difference whether the doors open... car door locks DO NOT work like your home's front door lock... all it does when you "lock" the door is disengage the connection between the door handle and the lock mechanism... it's ALWAYS going to latch the same way

if you think that's "safer", you're wrong... it's actually ILLEGAL to drive on the autobahn with your door locks in Germany because it makes rescue effort a pain in the ass if you get in a wreck

I think it's stupid as hell. What if you happen to go over the bridge? You won't be able to unlock your door cause you will forget to unlock them....

hello. I am saying I just want to unlock the car when I come to a stop, and unlocking the car without the need to pull from the side of the door, but by press a button!

I understand the inner workings of car door lock mechanisms as I have dealt with them on numerous occasions. I never said that a car door works like a "dead bolt" on a house. Certain impacts cause the lock mechanism rods inside the door to bend, causing the door to pop open. Granted, on many cars, it doesn't matter if the door is locked or unlocked because the handle inside will still unlock the door. But on all Mazdas with the exception of the pickup trucks, you have to unlock the door before the handle inside the vehicle will open the door. So it technically speaking it is SLIGHTLY safer to have your doors locked.

Apperantly Asian cars do not have that...

"Mazda Protege", no one has done what you are talking about as far as I know...We already have a power lock/unlock button on the side of the driver's door...and do not have automatic locking at least in the 2002 P5's...

Maybe someone knows the wiring involved and can help you out...I do not...
