How to reset Engine Light

Can someone tell me how to resent the check engine light?

Run to AutoZone and get it scanned, they should be able to reset it for you as well. Also, you can undo the battery for 30 mins. I would suggest getting the problem fixed first though.

Thanks. It is the Air intake hose. It is cracked in a few places. Put some Duct Tape around it until I can get the part in.

My engine light went away a few days after I taped up the hole in the intake bellows. Check around, you might've missed a few spots.

Negative skipper auto zone will not get rid of cel's.Best bet is to undo your positive on your battery for atleast 5 min's and you should be good.I went out and bought a obdII reader that does the job also.

Really? They've done it on the protege my moms vibe my old talon my brothers cobalt and eveybody else I know whoever told you autozone doesn't do that needs to get their facts straight.anyway either take it to autozone have them run the codes to make sure its just ur intake or just unhook the battery for 5 to 10 min

They have done it every time I have gone and asked them to... might just depend on who you deal with. I don't need to deal with them anymore since I have Torque for Android and the BT adapter

correction advance auto doesnt clear cel's..op just unplug the battery cheaper then torque

Autozone clearing codes depends on the area. if it's anywhere near an emissions-test area they usually won't. that way you can't go there, clear them, then go get emissions tested. The irony is if they did you still wouldn't pass because the monitors haven't run.

Va is an emissions area all though where I go doesn't do it but autozone still clears codes my local advance store does too.not that it matters the cel will come back on anyway if the problem isn't fixed

Disconnect The Battery,Pump Brakes A Couple Times To Reset Ecu And Your Done. No Need To Go To Autozone.
