How to: remove the stage issue at 120 mph

Hi my Name is Malcolm and my dad just bought 2007 CX-7 FWD Sport. from the time he bought the CX -7 hes been racing everything on the road. from Tacoma's to Ram's 1500. O your going to get a kick out of this one to for some strange reason he ran against a 2008 Nissan Skyline ANIMAL!!! yes the same one that has 600 hp and does 11.6 on the quarter mile. I know insane.. He did get his A** handed to him but he didnt care..

Now the Cx-7 is broking in, the turbo is spoiling up real quick, but the problem is that its reaching 120 mph really quick and just stages.

Can anyone help me with this problem, i know its factory set to do that, but my dad wants to turn the CX- 7 into a drag monster.. so any help would be useful,
car is stock right now but the mods we got waiting to put in is:

Performance Chip
Boost gauge
52mm Universal Triple PODs

exterior parts that we do have on are:

Aero Package (rear spoiler and front damper)

No one knows how to get rid of the limiter...The only way is to unplug ur speed sensor but then your speedo wont work. good luck.
 
the how-to section is for threads that tell you how to do something, not threads asking how to do something.

there no such thing a performance chip for our cx7. All we have is to get it re-flash through Cpe. and second our transmission could max out 325lbs of torque only.

If that actually works, you could use a portable GPS to monitor speed. Probably more accurate than the speedo anyways.

yeah...thats not a "chip" thats a potentiometer and a resistor.

don't buy this or you will be very dissapointed. even if it does "work" the ecu will just learn around it.

IT WAS A METAPHOR... it was just a 2008 Nissan Skyline that's it.. 600 hp.. 11.6 1/4 mile...

NO stock CX-7 could ever beat a stock 2008 Nissan Skyline..

If i remember correctly i dont think they started coming out 2008 nissan skyline it came out 2009 nissan GTR35 skyline that 3.8L VR38DETT twin-turbo V6 and produces 416 hp (310 kW) to 475 hp (354 kW) and 414 lbft (561 Nm) to 457 lbft (620 Nm) at the wheels out from the factory. It has been tested to achieve 0-60 mph (97 km/h) times as low as 3.2 seconds with launch control and 3.9 seconds without. And also achieved a standing quarter-mile time of 11.6 s at 190 km/h (120 mph) using the GT-R's launch control system. And if its 600hp then it should not gone 11.6 1/4 this is false.
 
wow, why you guyz such pricks, about his info about his dad drove?...

he just wants to know how to some how get rid of the limiter...

mills i wouldnt suggest getting that thing on ebay, dono if that looks legit..

but if you do find out one let me know.. been looking for one too..

it's not even called the skyline it's just GTR and yes they came out in america in 2009.

if you both knew anything about your car you would realize that it has the same MZR motor as the speed 3 / 6 but de-tuned......and another thing..how the hell do you expect to turn your minivan / suv into a "DRAG MONSTER" when it wieghs so much more then even a speed 6...and..and..and...as far as I know..from reading many forums the most power an MZR motor is putting out right now (on stock internals) is 400 hp and i'm sure this isn't even all that safe for the long run.......

SPOOLING...........AND I TEST DROVE A CX-7 BEFORE I GOT MY SPEED 6 JUST TO SEE THE DIFF BETWEEN THE 2 AND YOU CAN'T EVEN FEEL THE TURBO SPOOL ON THE CX-7 ..IT FELT LIKE THERE WASNT EVEN A DAMN TURBO IN THAT THING.......WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT KID..GROW UP WASTE UR MONEY AND GO TO TECH SCHOOL AND THEN WHEN YOU LEANR A VERY LITTLE BIT COME BACK AND TALK ABOUT HOW UR KNEW chip MADE YOUR MINIVAN SUV GET LIKE 200 MORE HP.....

AND WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU WANNA GO OVER 120 IN THAT TOP HEAVY PILE...

Leave the kid alone he is just enjoying the cx-7 now later he will realize that its just regular 4 cylinder turbo crossover. Same s*** with you - heavy sedan with 4 cylinder engine.But let him enjoy
p.s. the cx-7 is NOT a van neither an suv
ITS A CROSSOVER!!!
 
If you want the speed limiter to disappear you have to get it re-flash from CPE its gonna cost you but its well worth it and also it can get rid of the fuel cut once you start upgrading the downpipe and midpipe and exhaust. And also it will increase your throttle response from 80% to full 99% throttle. So when your dad start changing the intercooler and dp please let him re-flash it because he will definetely get fuel cut big time its like hittin a wall. Hope this help
