How to remove the front cupholder

My wife spilled some soda on the front cup holder of my 2010 GT AWD. Now, it won't close.

I am planning to take it off and clean it up, but too scared to do so without any manual/tips.

Any advice? I searched, and found the .pdf for the radio removal, Satellite radio, IPOD integration installation, etc, but no image about the cup holder removal. Please help, TIA.

Might be easier to remove the wife!

I sent the PM, hope I did it right, I had never done this

Also, I noticed when searching yesterday, some member has the front cup holder without the divider in between. Is this for older than 2010 model?

Either way, I am sure the underlining clips should be similar. TIA.
