I have seen the plastic around the AC vents painted in pictures of a couple of cars.

How exactly do you go about taking these off?

I have found how-to's for almost everything except this.

Thanks!

are you referring to the whole bezel or how to take out the vents? if you are referring to the whole bezel that surrounds the radio, you will have to disconnect the wire harnesses, and the two metal wires for your HVAC controls. one can be found on the driver's side, where your right knee is (about). you will need to depress the tab on the pointy white piece (youll see what im talking about) and lift up on the wire from the little connector (also self-explanatory once you get to it). now remove your glove box door. repeat the same process with the wire connected to the rotating white piece there. the rotating white piece on the left controls the HVAC routing of the air, and the piece on the right controls the temp. the difficult part is routing the wires BACK, because they have to be routed almost exact or else the controls wont work.

There is a really good "how to" for this.

I am looking at how to get the vents on the left and right hand side of the car.

Not what I was looking for.. I've seen the how-to on that one ;)

I'm talking about the dimpled soft part of the dash that is right in front of the passenger just above the glove box. This piece includes the right most directional vent in it also.

illwill84 is looking to remove the trim around this vent and the trim on the vent on the driver's side.

my driver's side vent surround cannot be taken off...it's molded into the dash

for the passenger side you just have to pop it off, just use a screwdriver or something to get under the plastic
