Maybe someone here has experienced something similar. I have a Mazda CX-5 2014 diesel 2.2, which I bought about 10 months ago on finance. My first issue appeared with an error saying “Vehicle System Inspection Required.” I took it to the garage, and they said it was an air-con sensor issue—nothing major.
A little later, I started getting TPMS Inspection Required and SCBS Inspection Required warnings. I went back to the garage, and they couldn’t find much wrong, except that my car only had 1 litre of oil left. They changed...
I just did brakes for the first time myself. I followed these videos, which were really good. They will help you see what's involved. Most of my issues were getting everything I needed to...If I were to do these myself, with help from someone who has experience, sounds like I'd need to purchase just the rotors and pads and . I could order online and save more I would think. Probably go Akebono for both or simply just order the Mazda OEM. This gets a little vague about brands with either their value or OEM as they aren't certain where they are coming from it seems. Or just go Akebono?
Here are the torque settings on caliper slide pins and caliper brackets for 2018 CX-5. For caliper pins the front is 23~28 ft-lb; and the rear is 17~22 ft-lb. For caliper brackets the front is 68~81 ft-lb, and the rear is 63~75 ft-lb. Notice that for 2019 2.5T the dual-piston brake caliper is used at front and the torque spec for caliper...Have a2017 cx5 GT. Doing front and rear brakes with rotors and pads this weekend. Does anybody know what the torque settings are for the caliper slide pin and caliper bracket bolts? Thanks in advance.
