How to mount a tire using starter fluid

cuz you can look all cool and stuff, you know, like you couldnt afford wide enough tires....duf muff...

i guess....good thing its still the old dumb....

yeah...i dunno, thats all i got....

Whoa now. Re-seating a bead with lighter fluid is an old trick. Especially with off-road repairs. Don't go hating on something you don't understand. In the woods is one thing, however, in civilization it is clearly easier/safer to have it professionally mounted.

As for stretched tires, a great way to waste a set of tires and put yourself into a guardrail.

that technique is used a lot on polar expeditions. since they run their tires at extremly low psi in order to get the best possible grip over icey rocks, it is not uncommon to get a tire poped out. they, however, use gas

i dont tihnk anyone is having any trouble with the method its the madness of running on a tire that is the wrong size like that

Ya, I've done that off roading too. That was an improper application of that technique IMO. Stretched tires look SO gay!

(werd) I've seen the method before, no issues w/ that. Its the ugly ass tire stretching I dont get

that can't be safe tho. Seems like you could sneeze and it'd come off the wheel...

hahaha I've seen it done for off road applications. Never for 'dumbass' applications. What's the damn point of stretching a tire like that? Anyone? Beuler?

This is done to have the widest rim on your car but having the tire tuck under the wheel well.A widebody look without the widebody kit.An 18x8.5 with a 43 offset would give that effect on a Protege without rubbing the fenders. It looks good on some cars, but not very practical.

Yeah, I got that much, thanks. Now the question still remains: WHY!? And it doesn't even really look good...it just looks like you couldn't afford the right tire.

That wanker in the vid is wearing my shoes. Damn him for shaming the pumas. lol
