How-To: LED Interior / Reverse / Licence plate lights

Sorry to stray off topic a little bit here...well, sorta...but can somebody who's been checking this often give a full list of updated lights that people are using?
Thank you.

All in all I bought:
5 WLEDx6 (2 for map, 2 for lp, glove) ($2.79/each + $.95 for cool white)
2 3022x9 festoon (trunk, dome) ($2/95 each plus $2 for white)
2 7040-A15 Amber LED for the rear turn signals ($6.99 each, no charge for amber)
2 7440-W15 White LED for the reverse lights ($6.99/each + $2 for white)

reason I bought the amber rear turn signals is because i hate how the bowl/lense reflects orange all day from the regular bulb. So I replaced it with amber led so it looks clear in the housing all the time and only is orange when it lights up.
picture is here, notice the orange is not seen as normal with the stock amber bulb, the led is clear when off:

Do you need the resistors for the amber LED turn signals?

+1, and thank you for the updated list.

answer is YES on that one. I only needed 1 resistor for each to stop the hyperblinking because it WILL hyperblink.

the resistor is tapped from the positive to the negative on the back turn signal bulb wiring and it stopped both the front and rear from hyperblinking. It was an easy crimp in there no wire cutting and can be removed easily if needed and took like 1 minute per side to do. I'll try to take a picture of what they looked like installed, they are hiddin behind the carpeting holes in the trunk. I assume you cna also splice them into the front signals instead, but the back is very easy and they are hidden by the carpet

I've been wanting to change out the rear amber turns for that reason too...just didn't know anything about having to use the resistor; how to install, where to get. Any info/pics you have would be appreciated.

Anyone instal LED in the fogs -- it'd be more for show then function...i rarely use them as it is.

so when its cold my dome light (LED) doesn't work. any thoughts on that?

Yep...mine dome works sporatically also. I think it's defective. No problem with the map lights.
I don't have my receipt or else I would send it back.
Anyone know where I can get on that will work?

My map lights work fine as well. But anything below 50 degrees outside in the morning and the dome does not work. Are you having similar issues or does your just work when it wants to?

I've noticed last night and over the past couple of weeks that my stock map lights are becoming increasingly dimmer/yellow (or I'm just going senile) so look for me to post up pictures in the next couple weeks with after install shots...once I order them.

Pics yet??

Nope sorry guys. I will also say that the v-leds with the 48 SMT are bright than the one 3 watt SBLeds for our reverse lights. I might try them for our turn signals as well. Just with someone made the leds inside a bulb to conceal them better.

I see some people posting so i'll comment too. Those LEDs I got from superbrightleds.com are burning or burnt out. The 9-led red one was dead on arrival. The 9-led white one I put in the trunk was dim for a few days and is now completely dead. And one of the 6-led white ones that I put in the glovebox is now dead too. I'll be buying any future LEDs from somewhere else. Good thing they're fairly cheap.

I installed mine a few weeks ago and have been pleasantly pleased by them.

The blue was too over the top and made my car look like a Mexican taxi, so I switched to the cool white, which have a blueish hue.

The licence plate ones in cool white look absolutely killer!

I believe he has a lifetime warranty on the bulbs.

If wondering as someone mentioned there are posts about the led's being dead or dying fast.

I had a license plate lght out when i checked it. I swapped it to the other socket, tried it 3-4 times and it was not working. Then 2 weeks later i tried it again and it worked fine... so it wasn't dead afterall.
