How-To: LED Interior / Reverse / Licence plate lights

yeah i just did this mod this weekend.

i went with all Cool white and its looks bad ass. Almost like i have cathodes in my car and on my Licence Plate.

im very happy with it. the cool white gives somewhat of a classy element. other colors in my opinion would be rice a roni

I ordered the white LED's from v-led.com. If they work well I'll be getting the amber ones for my turn signals as well as the resistors.

I did the blue and I love it, cops do not though. I went to get gas last night and had to pull up next to a CV cop. CV is a local town, it is 7x7 blocks in the middle of Little Rock that have their own police... He was like "your tint looks awful dark but I saw those blue lights." (shrug) oh welll

You can do whatever you want on the interior but you cant have flashing lights, blue, or red lights on the exterior, depending on they cop they could hit you for impersonating a police officer.

Blue or red lights on a non-law enforcement vehicle are illegal, at least here in Georgia. I think its because they don't want civilian vehicles to be mistaken for law enforcement.

I did mine two weekends ago with your write up thanks man!!! I only did my map light and dome light though, I havent done the others, idunno if the reverse lights will get me pulled over around here, seeing as how i have ilegal tints on mine also.

i did this about 5 months ago with the amber rear turn signals, it looks great having clear lenses instead of the stock amber bulb reflecting in the lense. But it did need resistors to stop the hyperblinkers. Looks pretty right compared to stock but really more noticeable at a distance, like if you see an led BMW changining lanes you notice their led blinkers

dang skubi, your lp lights are blue? or is that just the picture? I wanted blue but the fuzz round here won't like it. This is mine with the "cool white" color from superbrightleds.com:

WINNER!

One of my license plate LEDs has a burnt out LED already, hasn't even been a month.

having read your post I decided to go check mine last night and my entire bulb is burnt out! I barely ever drive at night to where i need to turrn on my lights. Sure enoguh the entire bulb is not working on my license plate light. I swapped it to another socket and still nothing. Superbrightleds.com says the leds are supposed to last up to 50000 hours, it's only been about 4 months now and its been turned on maybe 10-20 times. It's BS, now I have to go spend more money to get a new bulb. I'll order some other replacements while I'm at it, total crap...(yupnope)

I haven't even gotten my bulbs from SuperBrightLEDs... I ordered them well over a week ago and it's not that far of a distance to be shipped (St Louis to Washington DC).

I'm thinking of getting the WLED- BHP6
Anyone know if they will fit?
