you can get a good highflo cat just about any muffler shop around your area for around 100ish, and have it welded into the test pipe for a bit more...but no matter what, youre gonna get quite a bit louder...however, i have just a silencer on my HKS exhaust and its not much louder than the intake/ehaust combo...so im sure if you get the RB and a high flo cat you should be pretty happy with the results, both power wise AND sound wise

I have a similar setup as mathew..I am runnin a catless system..and i am using a silencer in my exhaust..he is right..the car sounds much much quiter w/ the silencer in! RB exhuast do not have a silencer....so be aware..that your exhuast will be louder than mine....

My girlfirend says that the noise produced by the header is minimal as long as i have the silencer in!

Why would you want something that retains both cats..the gains will be very minimal..

If you are so worried..Just uninstall the header...for emissions..and than reinstall after you pass!

Concerns with global warming etc..??

not at all. i think the whole ozone s*** is mostly bulls*** propaganda. after all, do you see the advocates of conservation pushing their huge gas guzzeling suvs or mercedes of cliffs in protest? hell no, they ride in them or their limos to the meets. also, you got idiots that cut down trees to make stupid flyers about pollution rallys and put the wasteful flyers everywhere.

I agree with matt, plus we have a 4 cylinder we can't be polluting that much anyway even w/o both cats. The people who should have any ethical remorse are those that have fox body v8 mustangs with 4 gutted cats that are polluting and other muscle cars. LOL my friend has a mustang with a cam and no cats that thing is loud ass hell it would prob destroy the a deciabal meter device thing and cause earthquakes.

Very concerned, but when it comes down to it, either pay $1500 at the dealer to get my cat fixed, or get a cheap header with the non-fouler fix, its an easy choice. I'm poor, so saving the planet will have to wait for me. Only the rich folks can afford to go all out green anyways. They rule us, so let them pay! LOL (drive2)

BTW, I'll be installing my headers tomorrow!
