How to install a 4 channel amp to the stock radio system?

Does any one know or have a "how to" guide to installing a 4 channel amp to a MS3 sport radio? The system is pretty crappy and I've read that adding a 4 channel amp makes quite the difference. What brand, wattage is required would be very helpful.

Can the amp be installed in the glove deparment, since there is so much room?

A speaker upgrade will be cheaper. In audio, speakers are always the first/best upgrade.

I have a GT/Bose stereo, but speakers did nothing for me. I installed Infinity Reference 2-ways, and the sound actually got marginally worse. This is because the Bose HU & amp process the signal, and just having fancy speakers attached to the other end of that signal won't produce better sound. Also, the signal is designed for the very specific capabilities of the factory speakers, so aftermarket speakers with different specs/parameters may sound odd (like mine did).

I think a 4-channel amp is a good way to go, the only problems I have is that it's much more labor intensive and requires a bunch of extra hardware and bits like Ground Loop Isolators, High/Low-pass Filters, Line Output Converters and such that I don't know much about. I ended up pulling the Infinities out and going back to stock Bose. And I still hate it. :P
