How-To HID Projector Headlights

any sort of projector is going to require some hole cutting.

This gives an idea of how much deeper the projectors go compared to the stock fogs.

This is the stock fog housings machined out to fit projectors insdie

And here is the tool of choice

^^^Nice! Is that your car?? Yah, I have the MSP front lip so I dont have any stock fogs so I am going to have to do something different. I might mount two rectangle style fogs on my lower grille instead. Cheaper and less time consuming. lol

Yup, that's my car.

Should have the fogs in as well as the projector headlights in late next week.

thinking of doing this myself, has anyone put (or tried putting) in merc e55 bixenon in the single reflector housings? do they fit? pics?

I do beleive chicoloco is running the E55's in his car

thanks. will investigate. problem for me will be having to get the lights in rhd config - not as easy as lhd - or are they swapable like some projectors?

havent decided. if i decide low beams only, i'll keep my p5 headlights and get honda accord euro projectors. if i decide on bixenons, i'll change to the single reflector lights and use the e55 (2004+ audi's, whatever) lights.

NOT swapable, but you can custom fab a shield for them anyways. shouldn't be a big deal.

instead of a cut off shield like this, ___i----- ____i-------

do this, -----i_____ -----i_____

on a piece of aluminum sheet thin can , soda can whatever it takes.

yeap.

Well at least get yourself some projectors that came HID equipped from factory, if possible. Almost all halogen projectors will not perform as desired with HIDs.
