How to get to the blower motor

I am trying to check the blower motor for my mazda5 06 MT. Does anyone has instructions on how to get to it? I am trying to check the fan since I get a constant vibration every time that I put the blower on. It seems like the fan is broken or somehow umbalanced. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Any luck on getting to the blower? I was looking at the repair manual and it looks like a real pain to get in there. My blower motor is vibrating when ever it is on and gets really loud the higher you turn up the blower. I was looking for an easy fix, but it looks like i'll have to take it in.

Two questions:

1. Is your cabin filter clean?
2. Did you try blowing compressed air into the intake to blow dust/dirt off of the fan blades?

I'd try those two before I did anything else. Let us know how it comes out regardless.

I took out the air filters and found a bunch of lint and crap in the compartment, but the blower is still vibrating and making quite a bit of noise. Where would the best place to blow some compressed air into be? Should I undo the hoses in the engine compartment and blow in some air there or is there a different intake I should be looking for.

Thanks for the help

Hoses in the engine compartment? I hope you don't try to unhook your refrigerant hoses there, that's the only ones in the engine compartment. It looks to me like the only way to clean the blower wheel is to remove it.

No not the refrigerant hoses, there are two other hoses that i assume are where it gets the hot air. If I press them down a little bit right by the firewall the blower quiets down, making me think there is a mounting problem.

I was just wondering where would be the best place to try and blow some compressed air in to see if that would help the blower balance it self out.

Now it sounds like you are describing the heater hoses. These circulate hot coolant/antifreeze to the heater core for interior heat. The heater core should be right on the other side of the firewall from where you're pressing on the hoses. The more you describe this, the less likely it seems you'll eliminate the issue without tearing into it.
