How to get the ECU out?

any assistance would be appreciated, trying to get it out now so help asap is appreciated

pull of plastic kick panel on right side of passenger side foot area. Ditto for left side passenger foot area.

-pull the carpet forward.

-with a 10mm DEEP socket, unbolt the 4 nuts on the metal plate you see.

-pull the plate out, flip it over, unbolt two 10mm nuts on one bracket, remove the bracket, and slide out the ECU. Now loosen the bolt from the wiring harness to the ECU.

-pull the wiring harness apart from the ECU.

-Now do everything in reverse to get it all back together.

no no thats all wrong.. All you need is a good crowbar. pry the carpet up. pry the box out. and ducktape it back together.

Eh, I wasn't the first to figure it out, but the exact wording you posted just made me laugh.

hey thanks fsr for tryin to help, i called him up while i was at the shop tryin to pull my ecu out before it was off to the junkyard (totald mp3), couldnt manage to get it out :'( i kno sum1 here would of wanted it ..

Ok yeah im stupid, buy why are you taking the ECU out. What good does it go?

All three of the platforms have different ECU tuning so some people like to swap them in other platforms to get some benifets for turbo, nos or even N/A applications.
