How To Eliminate Your Blind Spot

I don't drive my wife's CX-5 often, but its blind spots don't seem unmanageable. Here's another good article to throw in the mix.

If you set your mirrors so that as you pan from left > rear-view > right, you see a continuous view (or minimal overlap), then that's about as good as it's going to get, which is pretty darn good. ...and yes, please do check over your shoulder.

I don't have these on my CX but previous owner of my GX put them on and they do help as well. My GX missed BSM by a couple model years. A good supplement to other good habits.

Mine are fixed...these appear to offer additional adjustments

Those are useful, but I could never really get used to those.

No matter which car I drive, I always set the mirrors so I can’t see the car doors and I’ve never had any issue with blind spots for several years now.

Not saying you shouldn’t look over your shoulder. I’m saying it’s safer to use your mirrors properly and save yourself the risk of taking your eyes off the road to check your blind spot VS. Improperly using mirrors and always needing to check.

I could see those being an absolute pita in the cold weather, but it's a useful idea. Good for warmer weather where you don't have to scrape ice off every morning.
