How To: Ebay FMIC

yeah after looking at how the rad mounts on the bottom, I dont really care to move it over.

I guess I can see the difference between my install and cleverfrog.difference is that with mines u can keep everything to it's stock form(radiator, fans, etc) and with his u would have to remove or trim the drivers fan and move the radiator over a inch to do the hot pipe side like his.I like the fact that I can keep my fan and everything in it's place but I like the way his hot side looks compared to mines. It's more reliable his way as far as the couplers not coming off.wish we could have both lol. Well I guess we can if we use slim fans. Hmmm

Well **** off! The shop that was supposed to get my couplers today is now telling me theyre on Back order....**** them.

I just ordered 4 Mishimoto 90degree couplers on ebay for $10.80 a piece shipped. Guess the install has to wait another week and the car will just have to sit...

That sucks. Why did u get 4? I know u can use 2 for the intercooler ends and maybe one for the throttle bodie but what's the 4th one for?remember that if are doing it the way that I did,u need a long 90 degree for the hot pipe.It does say obo on the eBay mishimoto listing.why not make a offer n get them a little cheaper?

Yes, I eliminated the old SMIC and the push fan. I'll be getting a slim fan or 2 this weekend. I dont really like the original pull fan(since one of the mount brackets broke).

that mean you're no longer in a hurry for that fan? lol

Because they're obviously a pain in the ass to get so having more than needed is never a bad thing and I might play around with pipe routing.

I tried OBO...was ignored. $10.80 shipped is the cheapest I've seen for those couplers anyways.

was more $ for no reason...I should have just bought the mishimoto ones when I planned to last week but was told by my local shop they could get them sooner....what a bunch of **** tards.
evil you shouldve ordered from siliconeintakes.com

Not a big deal evilmonkey. But it sucks cuz u already started working on the car. It's a good thing tho. Reason being is because I will be working on figuring out if I can use a piece of pipe on the hot side instead of the long 90. So I will keep u updated on that. I am also waiting for my 2-2.5 reducer for the turbo since my used one has a rip and needs to be replaced.I am thinking maybe a cut in the middle section (U) pipe .

o but i thought you ended up rerouting the pipe so it wasnt hanging out below the splash guard, thats what i meant by the routing question
