How To: Ebay FMIC

something's most likely up with the MAF, reset your battery and let it idle for a bit, and just take some drives around to let it re-learn everything, and triple check everything, I'd say clean the MAF a tiny bit with MAF cleaner, but just a little and use the spray from a distance just because I hear some people can actually ruin the MAF sensor with the cleaner, most likely because they put the spray right up to the little strip in there

and ya take some pics so we can see if there is anything wrong with the setup ect..

oh and Evilmonkey, looks great, cutting the bumper does take some time, but I think it is definitely worth it in the end, no point in skimping out on things like that, just takes a little more patience and the reward is usually pretty good

I was messing with piping fitment and just dont see how the u-pipe fits to connect to the pipe coming off the ic. The lower rad hose is in the way

Sorry i don't have photobook now but here are some pics I took today, still having troubles.... ugh..

I figured that might have been the problem...you have the order of the BOV and MAF reversed. The MAF should the closest to the throttle body and the BOV should be before thMAF. Swap them and you should be good.

also, be very carefull with speedbumps or anything the way you have your hotpipe routted...
here is another way to do it that i am running, never have to worry about hitting my pipe...

ya that is what I was going to suggest too, is you'll probably need a 45* coupler

and yes X3 to protegebuddy with the reverse order of the bov and MAF, figured that's what it might be if you weren't sure about that already, which is why pics are always good lol

Can you please please please take a few more detailed pics of your hot side piping? I'm trying to wrap my head around how it fits because from what I see the lower rad hose will get in my way.

PLEASE HELP! :D

I can take some now from I guess diff angles to see if it helps you. As long as i don't have to remove my front bumper, then I'll take whatever pics lol. Let me take some now. Give me a few minutes to upload them since my computer acts up

awesome thanks alot. after staring at your other pics I see what you did closer now. It's making more sense.

I just home my damn couplers are in so I can put the damn thing together!!!!

moved the radiator over an inch so I could keep my huge fan for now. made a short intake with a 90 elbow I had left over. didn't use any straights. 3- 90* couplers, 1-45* and 2 straights. Kept the black lower grill on the bumper. only cut a little off of 2 pipes. the U and the connecting L. moved power steering lines up a bit. this install fixed my crappy idle problem so im more than happy with the results.

No prob. It's a tight tight tight fit and my black home depot coupler is resting on the radiator hose, etc. I am going to get a long 6 inch leg 90 degree coupler and remove the home depot one.inside the blue coupler above the black coupler,I placed a straight pipe to take up the room in the mean time. I don't see how a cut pipe would work on that section since it would hit alot of things and not sit right at all. U would have no choice but to use a coupler to get your bend.but I could be wrong.

Ah, I bent the AC lines and power steering lines to help the pipe fit. It was a squeeze. 90 from the intercooler to a 90 alum pipe to a 45 coupler to the cut U. And yes it is a VERY VERY VERY TIGHT fit. No doubt about that. Ill post up some more pics later.

Great. Exactly how I thought u got it done. There is only one thing that I don't like.I mean I don't have a problem with moving the radiator over a inch but then u would have to remove the fan on the drivers side right?
