Hey guys

Can someone chime in on how to clean and CPE Nano intake filter? I think Ihave one of the first batches they sold...so I don't know if it's a dry filter or oiled filter. It looks decent, but I think it's about time I clean it up. I think I've put about 15-20k miles on it....I don't know I lost count...ok thanks.

First, look at the end of the filter. It'll say Dry Filter if you have one. If so, then hit it with soap and water and then allow to air dry. DO NOT use a hair dryer to accelerate the process. I purchased this off Amazon since the earlier nanos were supplied with AFE Dry Flow Filters:

If it's the oiled version, you can use the K&N Filter Recharge kit that comes with cleaner and oil. Check this recent thread on how to clean your filter if it's oiled:

So if it's Dry Filter just let it air dry after cleaning? Is there a technique to using the water and soap? Or just soak it? I saw my brother rinse one of his filters before from the inside out...

Here...check aFe's Web site for cleaning instructions:

And I meant compressed air instead of a hair dryer. But I would imagine that a hair dryer isn't recommended either ;)
