How to: bulb test on dash

1st step, insert key
2nd. hold down trip reset button
3rd turn on ignition start car while holding trip button
4th let go after holding down for at least 5 seconds.
To scroll through the different bulb tests press the trip button. when you get to the end #65 you have to turn off ignition to bring back trip monitor. Note: you will loose both A & B trip stats. I really dont know what they do but it looks kind of cool. just play with it alittle bit. i think one of them is a volt meter, and not sure what other ones do. My ford foucs did this, but it had way more funtions like coolent temp, rpms, and speedometer... not the biggest hack but something new.

Turn off ignition
Press and hold trip meter button. Turn on ignition still holding button until the trip meter area displays tESt, then release the button. The display will then show a test number. Push the trip button to cycle through the tests

so when you're cycling the test numbers does it do the test by itself or is there a seperate "actuate" button that needs to be pressed?

and is there a way to get the instrument needles to cycle during startup like a motorcycle does? (see first part of vid)

Each push of the trip button takes you to the next test. Usually, the selected test just runs once. As far as I know, there is no way to have it do this automatically on startup.
