How to Adjust 98 Mazda Protege Headlamps

Theres adjustment screws for vertical on the upper portion of the housing. The horizontal adjustment is somewhat more difficult to get to on the bottom of the housing.

I just realized you have a 98 so im not 100% sure if the screws are in the same spot or work the same way as the newer model/facelifted one

It should help answer any questions you may have in the future RE your protege. Imo, we should have new protege members download that. download it helped me out a decent amount. There's an alphabetical index in there that might narrow down your search. But from what I can tell, there should be two screws on the back of the housing that look like they screw into the housing. Those will be larger than the rest and you can spin them almost endlessly in either direction and they shouldn't come out. If you find some that look like that, mark how you had them turned when you do align them right so you dont have to mess about with that in the future should you need to adjust them. (if that made any sense. Sometimes it makes more sense in my head!)

Thats a good question... Have a poke around. If you go to members list and then I, it'll narrow it down. The search function on M247 isn't very good so try IukekiniProtege Mazdas247 as a search on Google. It might take you directly to his profile in which case, just type up a message from there. I dont know if he would get to it this evening but I hope that'll help.
As far as the PDF, its got a little of everything to do with everything. Like I said, its helped me out a few times.
