Mil fix doesnt come with header. You can go to radioshack and get resistor and capacitor from there and then follow the directions in the thread about MIL FIX.Onatrum said:Does the MIL fix come with the OBX Header? I'm still a little confused about this issue.
Also, if any gaskets become damaged and need replaced, are they easy to find?
once you remove the CAT and there are no restrictions till 2nd cat. Without CEL fix, o2 sensor from removed CAT (which is now plugged into the header) will read higher exhaust temperatures therefore ECU will dump more gas into the combustion chamber. In this even you will be having your gas tank like that for 3-4 days which means 220-240 miles on full tank. If you will do CEL fix you will have same problem for only 1st gas tank till your ECU will re-learn fuel maps and then will be normal as before.DrummerJim50 said:How does removing that cat effect gas mileage?
Does it make the car smell at all? (Asking because my mom had a Jetta with a bad cat and it smelled like a rotton egg.)
Congrats man! That definetly works too. I had my CEL fix for about 1200 miles already and *knock on wood* its all good so far.Mike R said:Just as a note I did the subaru fix for my O2 sensor, the two spark plug non-foulers. Works great so far, no check engine light. Cost a whopping $3.97 at Advance Auto. And no wire cutting!
in reference to WRX.... you have to weld a bung extention to where the o2 sensor goes in.Wwing49 said:Mike, whats the subaru fix? please gimme a link id rather not cut wires, and solder... my soldering iron sucks testeclets
